Heard a LOT about this Laylak / but the experience was very dissatisfying in terms of service. The is my experience below for first time dining this place. It was a dinner Date for Two only and after spending $371.00 I must say it was disappointing. First , the welcome lady wasn’t there when we entered sharp on our reservation time - we stood there for 15 mins with no one take notice - we even tried reaching out to servers but seems like they were either short staffed or not interested Finally when she showed up she mentioned right away in front of everyone that we are a bit late but good to come inside. That left me very angry and upset. After that the server came in while we sat down for another 15 mins, The server didn’t explain anything on the menu and immediately was asking what we like to have ? I mean WTH I know what to order - this place and service and waiters seems like as if they are work for KFC or Macdonalds and didn’t have that demeanor or character to host fine dining. Our food came in late many times during appetizers and drinks and main Entree. The bread came in cold and I requested to bring in hot which is when the server insisted without apologies that this is how it is.’ The food was Good - service made is look like it’s 1/10. Drinks came in after our main entree came and you can imagine how this must feel. We asked for water and server purposely put sparkling water. Paying money isn’t a problem - but when diners who are doing fine dining get disrespected over and over again it’s really disappointing. I will be posting this on Google also. We can come here again only if the service is improved as of now the service and servers are working like donkeys with no heads.’

We were celebrating our anniversary with my boyfriend at Laylak. Beautiful restaurant inside and out! Very tasteful interior design. Food delicious! We're not very familiar with Lebanese cuisine. So we decided to go with Chef's special dinner menu. We had so many different dishes and everything tasted delicious! Cocktails, deserts, everything! Very nice professional staff! Great place for a romantic date. I already recommended Laylak to so many of my friends!

Beautiful ambiance, disappointing service. Waiter pushed high-priced items and was more interested in our budget when recommending wine. Kids couldn’t share a drink, and we had to pack our own leftovers. Family-style portions and pricing seemed unfair. Expected better from a pretend high-end restaurant.

Our server introduced himself as the restaurant manager! We asked him about the drinks and requested a couple of minutes to decide. When he came back and we wanted to place our drink order, he said, "You already ordered two drinks earlier, and I'll bring them now." We replied that we only asked questions and hadn't ordered yet, to which he said, "Okay, I'll cancel them. Later, he asked if we needed water, and we said no, we're fine. He then brought a bottle of water and poured it for us anyway! When we got the bill, we saw that we were charged for all the water bottles. The drink my brother ordered was also charged incorrectly he has ordered single shot double black label whiskey but he brought 2 shots black label whiskey!! When we complained, he said, "Oh, I misunderstood! Next time, one drink is on the house," instead of correcting the bill! I don't think this guy was a manager; he was a salesman. We are disappointed with the service at this restaurant.

Excellent services, great food and decent prices. I was there to have my surprise proposal to my partner. The staff was super helpful and they arranged and organized the way I requested . Definitely will go back again.

Absolutely amazing experience. Admittedly, I have been to Laylak many times and have enjoyed their incredible food and authentic haut-Lebanese ambiance before, but today was special because I took my kids to eat there. What a lovely experience! The food was, as usual, exceptional: the hummus was like silk, the labaneh deeply flavourful and the Fatoush salad good enough to make my 9 year old carnivore consider switching to a plant based diet🤣🤣! Our heaviest appetizer was the Kibeh Nayah- raw beef, accented with garlic sauce, mint leaves, onion and turnip… absolutely fantastic with their house-made fresh pita bread. Bite after bite was tasty and spawned “oooh and ahhh” moments from both of my kids. Our main was the mixed grill- great for 3 with modest appetites or after lots of appetizers (like us). Perfectly grilled beef tenderloin, minced meat kebabs and chicken pieces with the house-made garlic sauce was cool and hearty with grilled vegetables to add some crunch and colour. By this time we were very full but had to have the date cake and ice cream… they drizzled it with salted caramel in front of us. The combination of cold vanilla ice cream, candied coconut, date cake and the caramel had the perfect sweet and salty taste with a bit of cold and crunch to match. A true highlight of the experience! But perhaps most important were the staff… always warm, kind and attentive. So rare to have this genuinely welcoming but not pretentious atmosphere in a fine dining establishment. Somehow they make you feel like your royalty and at home at the same time. Highly recommended!
