LAVO Los Angeles is a 250-seat coastal Italian restaurant designed for an unparalleled, year-round alfresco dining experience. The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.

The beverage program features dramatic iterations on the classics alongside bold signature drinks. LAVO’s robust wine program complements the restaurant’s Italian inspiration and West Coast locale, featuring a vast selection of Old-World wines, as well as wines from California’s iconic regions.

Really great food… like really really good food! Really nice ambiance for a summer night dinner date, almost feels like ur in Tulum Mexico. Staff were super hyped about the menu and were able to give great recommendations.

Everything was 10/10! From the aesthetics, the food, the drinks, the amazing service and overall vibe of the restaurant I was impressed and will definitely be back!!

Great looking restaurant with ambiance however the langoustine and salmon that was ordered was disappointing. There was not much meat and was mushy and not a solid piece that you would be able to pull it on pieces. The salmon had no flavor and no consistency too. Possibly not the right choose for an Italian restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant, there is s dynamic energy feeling. While the two standing hosts were somewhat bizarre (not really smiling or greeting people-which I would assume is their main job); the person who walked us to our table was friendly. We were seated at a corner table where we could admire the beauty and elegance of the room. I took my 17 year old son to celebrate his birthday and he seemed to like the experience. The DJs were choosing fun music. However, the music is played rather loudly, making it difficult at times to speak without having to almost yell. On to the food. We ordered the artichokes and the octopus as appetizers, and they were our favorite part of the meal. Delicious! And good size. Then we ordered the rack of lamb and the filet mignon with potatoes and pasta as sides. Overall, it was good, but not outstanding. The pasta was horrible (I ordered gluten free and it can be tricky). They credited me for it, which was nice. The waitress was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. I had mentioned in my reservations, that i was celebrating a birthday. I thought they would bring me the dessert menu, but instead, they brought the chocolate peanut butter layered cake with a candle in it. We would have chosen a different dessert but it was actually, pretty tasty. The dessert alone was $29, which I found a little exorbitant, but I believe they had the right intentions. Overall, I would recommend. It was a nice night out and memorable birthday.
