At Lavanta we create fresh, authentic Mediterranean and European cuisine learned over a lifetime in family kitchens and restaurants from the south of Turkey to the north of England. From amazing mezes, flame-seared mixed grills and succulent steaks to seafood platters, gourmet burgers and woodsmoked pizzas, our dishes are prepared with the finest ingredients, and always with passion and pride.

It is hard to believe we are approaching our third anniversary since opening in October 2015, and it has been a wonderful journey, made possible by our fabulous customers, many of whom have become welcome regulars. We remain always overwhelmed by your kind messages and five star reviews which have made us one of the top restaurants in Leeds on Trip Advisor.

Excellent service from staff as soon as we got there and throughout the evening. It was a 60th birthday celebration and we had our own cupcakes which the staff served for us and even sang happy birthday! Food was absolutely amazing and the portions were very substantial. Great night out and would go again and recommend to others to go too.

Having been before on a weekday when there was hardly any one in, we booked in advance, a table for two (older ladies) at 7:30 for Saturday evening. We were unable to add an additional guest later. The restaurant was indeed full. Once order was taken it was a little slow for food to arrive but it was well worth the wait. My friend is veggie so we chose five meze dishes which were delicious. Although we weren’t keen on their take on shakshuka, I guess that is down to personal taste and is not a complaint. The staff are all lovely and very friendly. Cost was shared between two - one had just lime & soda and paid £23, other had two G&Ts and paid £36 (I think) so not bad value. Good definitely go again.

This is my second time going to Lavanta, staff are amazing. My youngest (a very fussy eater) was struggling to find something to eat from the menu, the staff were completely understanding and accommodating, offered a to make whatever they felt like eating. Food is absolutely delicious, the quality, the amount and the flavour. There’s so much to choose from and at reasonable prices. The ambiance was lovely and peaceful. Enjoyed a lovely family meal out. I’ll definitely will be returning for some more delicious food. This restaurant is definitely a gem that needs recognising.

Excellent food and very attentive staff. Received some complimentary humus and bread which was lovely. A great little find as we were from out of area going to a concert afterwards.

Our favourite when visiting Leeds, a true pearl. Genuine dishes served were attention lies in the details i.e. raw material and how they are cooked. Very friendly chef and staff. Highly recommended!

Levanta is an incredible restaurant. Always such lovely friendly service, incredible food and lovely ambience. Small team and it makes for such a welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone for any ocassion, thank you as always!

Very accommodating, our numbers changed a couple of times and in the end we were eight, twice the original number; it was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant wasn’t full so not really an imposition but the way they handled it was an example of their great customer service. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their food; it was fantastically presented and very tasty. We mostly went down the falafel and grill route, shared dips and (superbly cooked) calamari (amongst other things), We had four bottles of wine and coffees and paid about £40 per head - we felt it offered great value for what we got and will return! Service was friendly and efficient and we weren’t rushed out of the door. We definitely recommend Lavanta.
