Latitude 44 is a Modern American restaurant, featuring thoughtful food and beverage offerings within an energetic, casual chic ambiance. Our service driven mentality provides a welcoming and memorable experience for each guest.

Located in the historic Castle building in downtown Rochester, MN, Latitude 44 delivers an unparalleled atmosphere whether our guests are dining or enjoying an evening of cocktails in our comfortably appointed cocktail lounge.

The kitchen creations are driven by award winning “Chef Spiccoli” who utilizes his talents to bring an elevated, yet welcoming approach to both traditional and modern cuisine.

Part of our experience could be because it was New Years Eve. The floor & kitchen were very, very busy. But. First the good. Beautiful place. Excellent staff. Hosts were cheery and eager to please. From wines to non-alcoholic offerings, yay. So many pointers at a great evening. Then the food. Terrible jackfruit fritters. Flavorless, gluey, fried to within an inch of their lives. 3/4 hard, nearly black crust to 1/4 center. Each bite oozed old frying oil. Salads were fine. Really tasty & well done lobster Alfredo. Just the right amount of saucing & great pasta, lots of torn/shredded lobstermeat on top - but it had sat under the heat lamp and dried & withered. Garnished only with an almost transparent slice of lemon, where a substantial wedge was needed to finish the dish. Lobster roll was browned, nearly burned rather than tender and buttery-golden. The special pave potatoes again, dark brown, oil taste predominated, and the size of great wacking logs. No attention at all to plating. Guys, you eat 1st with your eyes! This is as high end as it gets in Rochester and left us disappointed.

Awesome dinner. Our server Joe was great, very attentive. Chef Reide Martin was wonderful, both in our meal presentation and his greeting after our meal. Wonderful experience, we shall return!

Great layout. Good people & good food! Ownership does a phenomenal job! This is for sure a place to check out while in Rochester.

Latitude 44 was a phenomenon experience as always! Our server Mike was on point with all his recommendations and attentive to all our needs and all the little details. Highly recommend!

We ate here for the first time early on New Year’s Eve and had a nice experience. The ambience is wonderful-modern chic. The service was excellent as was most of the food. We especially enjoyed the lobster bisque, potatoes priva, and the chocolate mousse. The lobster roll was good and the halibut OK/ nothing extraordinary. It is pricey, however, especially for the main entrees.

Every meal is lovingly prepared. The presentations are simple but elegant. We've dined there twice and sampled various dishes.....all perfect. The gnocchi are little pillows of magic. The staff are charming, fun, and proud of their restaurant and their success. We will be back.

We arrived early for our reservation. Waited (along with guests) 10+ min before a host greeted any of us. When we finally were up next we checked in to our reservation only to be told it would be a 10 min wait. We waited for an additional 15 mins. No checked back on us. The restaurant had 6 open tables within view Of where we were. It was past the dinner rush. If you’re busier than expected or short staffed, we get it, life happens— but communicate that to your guests. Also close your reservations (we booked that night, an hour before arrival). We had never been there and wanted a unique, well rated and fun experience- super disappointed it didn’t work out. Maybe we’ll check it out another time, but the service/communication alone would make us want to go elsewhere first.

We had a lovely Birthday dinner for eight in the quiet, cozy front room. Our food was delicious. Our waiter Terrance was charming and engaging. But service was slow because of a lack of staffing. That will not deter us from coming again.

James delivered a great evening. Good food is nice, but it's the people you connect with who make it great. We found that at Latitude 44.
