Oyster Rockefeller was overly done. Crab dip was okay. Burger was dry. Coconut fried shrimps were the only ones good. The view is okay. We didn’t get checked how our food is. Wait staff only came back to grab used plates. We asked for ketchup and that took a bit of time til it made it to our table.

The main dining room is lovely with a nice view of the harbor. Service was good and attentive. The windows were open so the entire room felt like it was outdoors, but was also in the shade.

I made a reservation here to catch up with a friend. The ambiance was right for the theme and the drinks were good. Unfortunately, I ordered the Seared Scallops and Coconut Mango rice. What a disappointment. The scallops were white without a hint of searing and the rice tasted as if it was cooked in coconut water, scooped out of the pot like ice cream and drizzled with cut mangos and juice. I was shocked at the cosmetics of the entire dish. The taste made me send it back. I then ordered another appetizer; stuffed mushrooms. They were meh. I told the waiter: he stated management would not remove the order from the bill. I write this review to warn anyone with high standards to visit Choptank. If feeling adventurous, try Latitude for a hit or miss dining experience.

When the flashier restaurants are booked, cross the inlet for delicious food equally good or better. It’s old school with tasty food without the bling.

Really nice location and the wait staff was friendly and helpful, but the food and drinks were just lousy.

The comments about poor service are well-deserved. After we were seated we waited 20 minutes for anyone to greet us and offer us water. One of the waiters finally noticed we had nothing but salt and pepper shakers in front of us. She apologized for the wait and promptly brought our drinks and took our order. After our entrees arrived another woman came over and also apologized explaining that she was assigned to our table but hadn’t noticed that we had been seated because she was also busy managing the bar in the back of the room. My entree (seafood pasta) arrived cold and before I’d had 2 bites of my salad. Clearly rushed out to us as a make-good from a plate that had been sitting in the kitchen. Latitude 38 has a lot of potential with their location and the food was “good” once it was warmed up. But until it is under new management that understands “service”, we won’t be back. There are too many alternatives in downtown Annapolis.

We were disappointed in their Mother’s Day brunch. They may have tried to overdue the amount of buffet options because with roughly half of the options the trays were empty. We filled our plates nonetheless but found the hot food and yogurt were both room temp. The upper level is too low light, strange considering a wall of windows overlooking Annapolis waterfront, and to compound, we got the corner booth farthest from the windows. A third of the light bulbs were out. Maybe they do that on purpose but seems like an easy fix. Unfortunately my wife left hungry. We didn’t have the heart to complain to the waiter cause he was great and checked on us multiple times during our very short visit. Not worth the premium they charge or maybe they aren’t used to brunch buffets.

Very poor service. We had to wave down our waiter several times just to take our order, after waiting nearly an hour. (We were multiple family members from across the country catching up on things, but only 10 of us). Appetizers took forever to come out but the crab dip was okay, not what I expected from being right on the Chesapeake. Crab cakes were just okay as well. Lots of crab but not much else. Drink orders were completely messed up as well. There are better places in Annapolis. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, as they seemed to be well under staffed. We made our reservations a week in advance though.

Everything about my "restaurant week" dinner at Latitude 38 was superb--and I try to be stingy with superlatives. The prime rib, the crab dip and the key lime pie were delicious. The prime rib was perfectly cooked. The waiter was very attentive. He made sure that the main course was not delivered to my table until I had finished the appetizer.
