Restaurant did not seem coordinated- staff needs more training - from the host to the waitress - appears they are lacking help - felt rushed by the waitress - and learned that the Bloody Mary drinks are made with marinara sauce - Ewh !

this was disappointing in all aspects. we arrived for an early reservation and a mostly empty restaurant. we were seated in a nice booth and then, even though the place was empty, they seated a family with a baby and toddler in a booth connected to our booth.The kids were screaming and crying so we asked to move but why were we seated back to back in an empty restaurant. we ordered salads and eggplant parm, veal parm and meatballs. the Parma were both mediocre with little taste, the meatballs were better. the server was very nice to my elderly mother in law but he wasn’t around much, again very empty restaurant. we said we did not want desert so he gave us our check while we were seated with a table full of dirty dishes., including the salad dishes which were not cleared when the entrees were served by runners. I find that to be so odd and unprofessional. My husband mentioned it to the manager who seemed nonplussed by the idea so I guess they don’t clear dirty dishes. The food, service and atmosphere were below average. we eat out 4-5 times a week and will not return. the Villanova location is better

Food was excellent . Server was good . Nice restaurant . Very clean and great atmosphere . I will go again and recommend. I went at lunch time to celebrate my birthday.

Will not return. Very noisy, poor service and pizza had little flavor. I’m glad we didn’t get entrees

First visit to Upper Dublin LaScala after being a big fan of Villanova. We were thrilled! Great service and wonderful meal. Fantastic happy hour and wonderful menu. Artichoke starter is a must try!! Look forward to returning soon.

Server was very sweet but seemed new. We got 3 different kinds of wood- fired pizza to share and they were all very good. Ambience a bit unusual. Kind of a sports bar combined with a diner feel combined with an open kitchen and modern decor. Pretty loud. Ceilings were leaking from all the rain but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I’ll be back, enjoyed the food.
