    I want to like LaScala as their Villanova location has always been good. I have been to the Newtown Square location several times and did not have any issues with the food. This time, the Spinach and goat Cheese salad was less than stellar. Unsure if it was the salmon that I added or the spinach but it had an aftertaste similar to that of soap. The others I dined with did not finish their salad entrees either. Should be noted that our server Mia was very good and made the visit palatable.

    Along with other customers, the music level at the outside bar area was way too loud, so loud, one had to yell to be heard. This needs to be toned down

    Food was awesome as always! Server was very nice but seemed to have ALOT of tables! Music was way way way too loud for 6:30 on a Friday. Heard many people complaining and asking for it to be lowered. In my opinion, it took away from the dining experience.

    I had said it was an our anniversary. I guess they never read it. Kind of rushed, yet food came in timely manner. Never asked if we wanted dessert. I had asked for candle on dessert as a surprise. Fancy sports bar. Food good.

    Service was fine. Chicken wings were the worst ever. Do the world a favor and take them off the menu, please!

    The service was slow and it was not that busy, mediocre food, place was a bit dirty and unorganized

    Love the food and service was great. Don’t love that because there were no seats at the bar, we sat outside right next to it, but then were not able to take part in the happy hour specials. So had to pay twice as much because we were 5 feet away from the bar. This is not the case at another LaScala that I’ve been to.

    The waitress mentioned that the meals would come out as dishes were ready. I don’t care for that myself. It was very hot in there and I think the charge for credit cards is ridiculous. That should be clear before you get there in reservation notes.
