Las Montañas, located in the heart of downtown Aspen, serves Mexican food highlighting Tex-Mex classics, including tabletop sizzling fajitas, house-made tortillas, ceviches, grilled steaks, and seafood—cocktails, agave spirits, and our extensive wine list round out the Las Montañas experience.

The second-floor restaurant, with views of the surrounding mountains, is open seven days a week for lunch, happy hour, and dinner.

This was certainly a Mexican Fine Dining Restaurant. Which means great Mexican food at outrageous prices. The food was very good. The service was very good. The margaritas were very good. Food portions were small, extremely small when you consider we got 3 tablespoons of rice and beans.... For the whole table! Certainly, you are paying Aspen Colorado prices... But c'mon, it's only Mexican food!!!

Although we enjoyed our overpriced fajitas, the slushy margarita was not good nor worth the price because it was such a tiny serving. Food was brought out way too quickly. We had barely got our tiny margarita when the main course arrived. Our server was a very nice man, and I don’t know that it was his fault or the kitchens. But we would never return to this restaurant again. We don’t mind paying a lot for food, but we need a better dining experience if we’re going to do that

Yummy!! The chicken fajitas were amazing!! Definitely recommend fajitas. We also had red snapper and beef fajita enchiladas, all delish. Margaritas excellent. Service two thumbs up. We went to dinner at 6:15, so it wasn’t too loud, got a little busier around 7. Views of the mountains were an added bonus. We will be back!
