I needed to have some quality face time with my dearest, so I thought why not go local and I booked Larsen's. It was a Monday night, so I was actually surprised that it was pretty busy. Here's why it was: THE FOOD. Really thoughtful soups, excellent salmon and steaks, but more importantly there was nothing hyper-exotic to the flavoring. THE SERVICE. Our person (Kennedy if you can believe it) was crisp, intelligent, engaged and ended up asking our names at the end of the evening. They even concocted an Affogatto for my us, as I'd recently introduced my wife to that and it's now a thing. THE AMBIANCE. There are cordoned off areas for bar diners, and banquettes for larger groups and that gave the place a warmth, but more importantly was THE LIVE MUSIC. Pianist George is a treasure and while he's old school, he's played for Sinatra and has the stories to back it up. He seems clairvoyant as he played not only my father's famous song(s) but dropped in a couple of my wife's parent's favorites as well. Tip the guy; keep him healthy. Yes, this place is in a struggling mall, yes there's construction outside, and yes it's a bit pricey, but if you need to look good under soft lights and get your partner to remember why she chose you, then go to Larsen's Encino.

I ordered my steak medium plus. It arrived raw. I sent it back and it was returned to me the same way. The second time it went back it came out dry and awful. The steak should have been remade. My fault for not sending it back. It was awful. The waiter was great and gave us a free dessert, but I threw out a $70 steak.

The GM and team made my proposal to my fiancé extra special. They went out of their way to create an unforgettable evening. This is just one of the many reasons, that make Larsen’s Encino our favorite steak restaurant.

Just a wonderful experience! Our servers Kennedy and Jackie were outstanding. All the food was exceptional. Although a little pricey we really enjoyed the experience. Presentation was lovely and everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. Great choice of music playing! Very cozy booths and beautiful inside as well as outside patio. We hope to come here for the Thursday night football games during the season! The happy hour menu looks fantastic! Thank you for a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back.

Molly was an amazing server. This was my first time but not the first time for my family but she still was helpful and answered all our questions. She also gave amazing advice on drinks and steak. Would definitely request her for a waitress.

I’ve got to remember to tell the waiter to put very little salt on my food. The mushrooms for the steak we so salty, it ruined the dinner. My wife was wondering where the lobster was in the lobster roll. My son only eat half of his meal. It didn’t look appetizing and the mashed potatoes were very strange tasting.

Grant was excellent as our waiter and Beau did a great job supporting him. Come here every once in awhile and not as often as we like simply because the food is very good, very rich, and while not over the top, expensive as you would expect. Tonight for the first time, they convinced us to try their Wagu Steak special of the day and split it and it was phenomenal. One of the best overall steakhouse we enjoy going to. The only challenge is deciding which location to go to, Encino or Woodland Hills, as they both take care is equally as well. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
