Food: perfect. So delicious. Butter lettuce salad with seared scallions. Simple and yum. Great recs from our server, who was so relaxed yet professional, knowledgeable. Nailed it on the suggested wine. Was a little quiet at an indoor table on a Friday night, but for us a nice hideaway from the chaos of King West, and the live DJ provided a really mellow vibe to accompany the meal.

Service is very average. You have to wait for service most of the time. Significant wait time to get the attention of a waiter. Food is below average and the portion is extremely small. The dishes are overpriced, and one main dish would not get you satisfied. But then, what you order a second dish considering the quality and the price?

Came here for summerlicious - the service was outstanding, our waiter was perfect! Older Asian man - would have exactly what we needed, when we needed. Great personality, was knowledgeable. Food was good but not worth the price or portions at all.

Awful experience. Takes an unnecessary amount of time to order anything (including water) If you like wasting your time on mediocre food and drinks, look no further.

Pasta was raw, food came incredibly slowly even though it wasn’t busy. I’ve come here twice before since the pandemic, the quality has declined each time

Amazing food, especially the black cod, cooked to perfection. The only negative point was the background music, which was a bit louder than ideal, making conversation at the table difficult.

Took advantage of Summerlicious last night at Lapinou. All the menu choices were terrific, well executed, delicious and well worth the expense. The service was exceptional, with Jarret, our waiter, always ready to help out with choices and questions we had. The management were sensitive to our request turn down the sound and did so without delay, checking if the reduction worked. All and all a splendid experience. I highly recommend the restaurant for a lovely night out.

We went to Lapinou because on Google it was said to have live music. We were disappointed that there was no live music. The Google listing was incorrect, probably outdated.
