At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience.

The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Nathaniel Embrey, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

My husband and I stayed at the Henry Jones hotel and went to Landscapes to celebrate our wedding anniversary and birthday. We are beyond words to describe our experience. The service, the atmosphere, the wine, the food. All incredible!! Thank you to the fabulous staff and in particular Ethan who looked after us this evening. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough. After eating in many beautiful places around Australia this is by far the BEST experience we have ever have. Thank you again for making our night so special

I booked for my wife's birthday whilst staying in Hobart, as l had been recommended Landscape by friends. Landscape exceeded all expectations - the food was phenomenal (best Kingfisher sashimi!) & service was excellent by staff. Atmosphere in the restaurant quiet (but not too quiet) but just right. You could walk around & view all the art work on the walls & the waitress gave us an overview story of the artwork. Highly recommend this restaurant for those who like fine dining experiences ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Was a first time experience at Landscape for my husband and I. The staff were amazing - professional, friendly and welcoming. There were a few in the restaurant and I know from talking to them that they felt as special as we did. The food was next level. We both had a different cut of steak. It was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were cooked beautifully as were the greens. Have to mention the personal wine sommelier was very professional. He was great to talk to about our beautiful wine regions. A lovely touch to the evening. Our waitress was gorgeous, very friendly. The bread was a nice little touch while we were waiting for our steak to cook. We shared an apple tart to finish with and that was faultless. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we didn’t feel rushed. Everything just flowed. Thankyou Landscape, it was our first visit, certainly won’t be our last. Our families will benefit as well as for Christmas we will give them a voucher, so we can give them a special date night. Thankyou Landscape - One word - OUTSTANDING!

Lovely time, lovely meal. We felt the occasion of our Wedding anniversary was wonderfully celebrated, thanks especially to the staff.

Probably the best steak we have ever eaten. Beautiful surroundings and excellent service just adds to all that Landscape has to offer. Every part of our meal was sublime to the taste buds. Could not recommend it more.

A truly wonderful dining experience, perfect in every way, with excactly the right balance of everything! A beautiful setting, rich in Tasmanian history and comfort, superb food, fresh and delicious with amazing flavours, and excellent service from the lovely staff.

We had high hopes for our dinner last night as the evening started off beautifully with a great atmosphere and attentive service. Unfortunately, by the end of the night, we left feeling disappointed. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out much rarer than expected—almost blue. This put me off eating it, so I didn’t mention it at the time and decided to fill up on the sides instead. Later, when I brought it up, the response I received was that “this is how we cook our medium rares,” which left me feeling a bit unheard and frustrated. To the restaurant’s credit, they offered to take the sides off the bill as an apology for the steak. However, after paying and getting home, I realized we were still charged for them. While we enjoyed the atmosphere and some parts of the evening, the way the situation was handled, particularly the response about the steak and the billing error, left us feeling quite let down. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we’d love to return and have a more consistent experience.
