Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails is Mills area’s newest dining and nightlife concept. Playfully yet eloquently named, Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails got its inspiration from the idea to ‘hangout and throw some shade in conversation’ while paying homage to the history of its building, previously The Lamp Shade Fair, well-known by locals for over 50 years.

The Asian-influenced tapas style menu showcases seasonal and local provisions of the Orlando community in innovative dishes that Executive Chef for Thriving Hospitality, Ryan Stewart, has meticulously developed.

Lamp & Shade's comprehensive beverage program features riffs on tiki classics tying back to the influential Asian roots of cocktails, pairing nicely with Chef’s selection of Asian inspired faire.

We brought friends here because we love the food. Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience tonight. Our server had to make our drinks because our food came out and we hadn’t received them yet. There were three people behind the bar, but we still waited. The restaurant was not busy. The roe on the tuna had a funny taste but the Caesar Salad Bites were spot on. We didn’t feel welcomed and will probably not be back. Our server did try but the overall experience was lack luster.

I’ll definitely be back! I went in for my birthday and there was a glitch with their reservation system and Devin did a wonderful job of recovering the situation. Nina was also superb and so pleasant and Teddy gave us wonderful recommendations during the evening.

the food was nothing special. Expensive, value is not there. Service rush. 18% service automatic charge and is not a full service restaurant. is more a bar tapas place.

We are in love! The squid ink calamari is to die for! Mike at the bar makes the best craft cocktails and the entire staff is a joy. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing! Ambiance was amazing! Love all the murals and details related to design. The details in the food was impeccable. Reason for the lower review was service. Coffee took an unreasonable amount of time over 10 - 15 minutes. Four people drinking coffee and only three milks and two spoons for four people seemed odd. It was giving “we only provide two spoons per person because we don’t have spoons”. But like I said food and decor were fabulous.

At first we were walk ins and the hostess told us the wait was over 2 hours. When we walked out to find something else, we saw open table had a bunch of reservations available at that time. We booked through here and we are so glad we gave them another chance. Our server was amazing and the food was just as good. We were celebrating our engagement and they went above and beyond for us. We will be back!

Overall the food was good - mussels disapppinting for cold water mussels very small and a messy dish to eat. The bread was not good - you should serve warm fresh bread it was very dry. The music not the best for a cool Ambience too techno - something like Buddha bar would match the place better just an idea The service was good. The table where we sat was not good at the back near the door and massive fan and too close to staff work zones not relaxing and the low seats not comfy. It was our first time but we will come back and try again and see how it goes. I would rec better choices of Gin and fever tree flavoured tonics
