Unfortunately the food wasn’t very warm and we didn’t get the vegetables or stuffing advertised. We asked for them but they never came. Came away feeling disappointed.

Good varied menu , pity 75% of it was unavailable! Ended up with overpriced sausage n mash as 4th choice. Spoons quality food at high end pub prices! ☹️

What a disappointment. Arrived to be told that we would be sitting upstairs but that there was no bar staff up there and all orders needed to be made at the bar. Went to order a bottle of their red and, after a lengthy wait, found it (one of the 4 on offer) was not available. I was served by the surliest and sullen barmen ever (why do some people enter the service industry if they resent serving customers?!) Then had to juggle 2 bottles of wine, wine cooler, and 2 glasses upstairs to the table, to discover the bar was open. Went to order the food and, after another lengthy wait, found that 2 of the 4 items were not available (at 1900??!!). The food arrived and was extremely mediocre to poor, tasting of old frying oil. Do not go to this Inn if you are going on to the theatre as you may miss the opening. It is very loud with music and groups watching football.

It was ok. Food very average. Staff not very attentive, bar person very friendly though. Wouldn't rush back to eat but beer garden was lovely when we had a drink earlier on in the day.

We were a table of 8 upstairs and had to wait quite a while for service. When our food came the majority were happy but 2 ladies ordered the Steak Sandwich and when it came it was a dry roll with thick tough steak. They were expecting thin slices of steak. These were taken away and could have been replaced but they opted for soup instead, which they enjoyed and there was no charge. Would have been better if the steak was good but it was dealt with quickly and with no quibbling.

First class friendly service, fantastic food, value for money, Sharing platter very tasty, nicely presented. Hardly any wait after ordering from bar area or can do on their app, outside was very busy even on a cold night people love the atmosphere, plenty of smiling faces

Hadn’t been here for years and was pleasantly surprised by the refurbed premises. Had booked for 4 as my sisters were visiting. The pub was quite quiet as it was a Monday evening. We all loved the look of the outdoor area as well although we were seated inside…. An upstairs, high seated booth, lighting could have been better (maybe clean the dust out of the inside?!) The service was pleasant and speedy. A couple of items I originally chose weren’t available and the app had little choice left, but I ordered at the bar and all was well. The food was lovely: tasty, nicely presented and what it was described as! We all had something different and none of us was disappointed in any way. My fiancé and I had desserts, yummy! All in all a lovely, enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings, we’ll be back for sure!
