Pretty ambiance, good service and good cocktails. But the food we ordered was subpar. Focaccia was burned, the duck was overcooked and the “beef Wellington” (they serve the meat and pastry apart) pastry was cold. Recently defrosted cold. For the price I expected better. If you only come for cocktails, then it’s fine.

Before you come here, keep in mind you will spend more money than usual. Total bill was close to $480, for 4 people. We spent about two hours in total. The food had an amazing taste, something that is rare to find on fancy places. I am from California and used to eat at Michelin restaurants, and I can say that the food here tastes better than most places I have tried in San Diego and Los Angeles. I want to give a big recognition to our servers, especially Bruce, who didn’t miss with his suggestions. All the appetizers, main dishes, drinks and desserts were good, but the star of the night was the tres leches con coquito. The presentation and the flavor are perfection. This is a place you should try at least once.

Phenomenal, creative and delicious food! The wine list is outstanding as well as the service. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited Lala and had an overall wonderful experience, thanks largely to our server, Angelo, who was fantastic. He provided attentive and friendly service, making our evening very enjoyable. The cocktails were excellent, and the tuna crudo was absolute perfection—definitely a standout dish. We also tried three of the nigiris (tuna, salmon, and hamachi), and they were incredibly fresh and flavorful. To end the meal, we had dessert, which was also very good. Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat marred by the red-haired hostess, who was quite rude to me and another member of our party upon arrival. This was disappointing, especially since it wasn’t the first time I’ve encountered her rude behavior. On a previous occasion, it was bad enough that we decided not to dine at Lala. While the food and service from Angelo were exceptional, I hope the management addresses this recurring issue with the hostess, as it affects the overall first impression and experience of an otherwise fantastic restaurant.

Lovely dining, Great Service- Miguel was amazing! Wonderfully made, delicious drinks. Food was very good and just the right portion, imo. It was an enjoyable experience.
