The Restaurant at Lakeview Manor is open to residents and non-residents. Open daily for breakfast served from 8am-10am and dinner served from 6pm - 8.30pm. Lunches are available on weekends from 12pm-3pm. Enjoy fresh, local produce in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have a well-stocked bar with a selection of locally-brewed Otter Ales – a true taste of Devon, full of individual flavour and aromas as well as a fine selection of wines.

The staff and service is great but the food was not good, I had the bean chilli and it was so watery that I had a pool of water at th bottom of my bowl, my husband had the venison and the meat was ok but the rosti just mush and plate of red cabbage. The hen desert they ran out of lemon pi so had the pefiterols which were inedible but they did not charge for them which was as good! Same as a lovely location, breakfast was nice though.

Not impressed I had prebooked as it was our Golden Anniversary. On arrival there was no one to greet us and when someone did turn up we were told they had no recollection of our booking even though I had received a text to confirm we were still attending, and to see if they could FIT us in. This was not a good start. We were told yes you can go to table 27 (which was also our Lodge Number) coincidence. Well we got a drink quick enough & eventually got asked what we would like to order it then took 45 mins before our meal came out after me asking when it would arrive. The food was OK not brilliant for the money I was expecting better from the reviews other people had left. When they came to take our plates away we were asked if we would like the dessert menu, yes we would which again was a lengthy wait which I had to chase for by this time we had had enough & I asked for the Bill. We won't be eating at the Dabbling Duck again on our stay at Lakeside. The Restaurant wasn't even that busy that night so I dread to think what the length of service would have been if they had been.

Excellent service and food at a reasonable price. Food was freshly cooked with good sized portions. Best fish and chips I've had

Beautiful venue, warm and welcoming. Staff were friendly. 2nd time we've been here. Then food was lovely, I was looking forward to the garlic mushrooms however there wasn't any lef lt when we ordered. The crayfish did well in it's replacement. The fish and chips on the next table looked amazing, i wish I'd ordered that. Unfortunately I didn't love the pie filling, the flavours were good however it had a very soup/corn flour texture. The grounds and atmosphere is lovely. 10/10 for the lemon cheesecake!! Will definitely return

Loved this place only stayed for 1 night en route but so peaceful, staff were lovely, food was amazing. Place to chill and recharge your batteries. Took our 2 dogs who loved the walks

The Chicken, Ham & Leek pie was like a tin of soup in a bowl with a wafer pastry biscuit on the top. By no stretch of the imagination was it a pie with a nice thick centre. The only way to eat/drink the liquid would have been with a spoon. The fish an chips were edible although the fish was very pale and anemic looking.

We had a lovely meal service was excellent. Bit on the expensive side. Menu could do with having more choice

Nothing wrong with the service provided, big let down was the poor food quality definitely not worth what we paid. Hunter chicken was bad, tough chicken breast swimming in terrible bbq sauce incredibly vinegary taste. The pie... Oh dear, THE pie of the day... Was liquid tarragon soup served in dish with cheap dice ham and chicken covered with tiny layer of puff pastry... Guys that's not a pie (pastry) you are serving a liquid soup in a pie dish Did NOT go back during our stay for dinner, we were planning to have breakfast every day but for £15 per head is a joke after our poor food dinner experience

Disappointing really. The fish cakes were cold inside and then reheated. Hardly any fish in them and my wife didn't eat them. However, the waiter offered us a refund without us having to ask. The atmosphere was pretty bland. When we arrived after a long journey there was nothing to offer us in the way of a snack. When we arrived , several staff were sitting around the bar and didnt look particularly cheerful. The morning staff were more upbeat than the evening staff.
