The new 4,000-square-foot Lakeside Grille, with spectacular views overlooking the lake and Rocky Gap State Park, will replace Lakeside Restaurant as Rocky Gap’s premier, upscale steakhouse. Lakeside Grille’s menu, curated by Golden Entertainment Corporate Executive Chef Bradley Manchester, Executive Chef Bradley Reynolds and Senior Sous Chef Dustin Coldsmith, will feature USDA Prime selections including local and regional steaks, chops and seafood. Signature menu items will include an Oscar-style filet served with Maryland crab; calamari fries, prepared with sweet soy, spicy yuzu aioli, crushed peanuts and tōgarashi and Rocky Gap’s popular Maryland crab cakes.

We had dinner at the Lakeside Grille on July 6, 2024. Our server was wonderful, but the food was disappointing. I had the ribeye which was significantly overcooked and tasteless. I requested a new one, which was rarer than rare and tasteless. When paying $60 for a meal, I hope for perfection, and this was far from it. The atmosphere is wonderful, I just hope they get the food under control.

Steak was over cooked the first time and under cooked the second time. Ended up changing meal to another steak and was charged double the cost of the 1st meal. Everyone was finished eating by the time we got the 3rd plate. Prices were too high for the food received.

We ate here for dinner and for breakfast. Dinner we had Calamari, Tuna, Truffle fries, green beans, loaded baked potato and Mac and cheese. Tuna and calamari were good. Truffle fries were steak fries out of a bag not much flavor pretty plain. Mac and cheese was basic noodles in a cheese sauce you would serve a kid. Breakfast I had French toast it was still soggy in the middle and a side if eggs that taste like they were off a buffet and cold. Fine dining price for cheap mediocre food. Disappointed

Love the staff at this restaurant. The food is good. The service is great. we had Debbie as a server. She is efficient and attentive.

We were there on 6/29 to celebrate our anniversary and excited to try Lakeside Grill. But there were problems from the get go. The three hostesses were all standing around, two of them on their phones, but the third girl did seat us pretty quickly. It took 10 minutes to get a glass of wine. One of our meals was the wagyu beef that was one of the specials for the night. It was ordered as medium well. When the food finally made it out, there was blood all over the plate. The piece of steak which would fit in your palm was burnt on to the top and the bottom had been on the grill for less than 30 seconds, just gray inn color and the meat was still blue on the bottom. It was sent back - but only the meat was taken, not the whole plate of food to be eaten at the same time. Had to ask for napkins to clean up the blood and it had soaked into the mashed potatoes. The potatoes were very heavy on the garlic and cold. When the piece of leather finally came back out, it was inedible. I cut the acrid burnt portion off, but it was still not good. What a disappointment as I was excited to try this for the first time. None of the food was hot, the butter didn't even melt on the broccoli. The manager was called over, who was gracious about it, but stated that they trained their staff to only take the item that was not right. I told him I didn't think that was the proper way to handle it, but it fell on deaf ears. He did take the almost $60 meal off of the bill. The rest of our trip was very nice - but we will not give the Lakeside Grille any more of our money. Take my advice, go to the bar/restaurant downstairs. Service is better and the food was great!!!!

Filet melted in my mouth . The best steak I have had in a long time, Stephanie was an excellent waitress and enjoy the view and whole dinner. Would be coming back
