Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar in Duluth, Minnesota has been around since 1991, back when Canal Park was better known as an industrial harbor rather than a tourist location. The interior at Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar has a cozy feel to it, thanks in large part to the reclaimed lumber used for the tables, booths and bar as well as thriving plants. When the weather is nice, you can dine on our deck, furnished with Loll patio furniture made locally.
We are a small restaurant, limited to 15 tables and 70 seats indoors. Because of this we are not able to accommodate groups larger than 8 people. If your party is larger than 8 people, please understand that your group may be split at separate tables, potentially not near each other. Please call us to discuss accommodating your large group events.
Due to the invariability of Duluth weather, our deck is non-reservable (with or without dogs) and subject to be closed without much notice. We seat the patio on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Great smiling team works to really take care of the customers. They know the food and make sure that the choice we made was clear and on point. Luscious drinks and desserts too

    Excellent $10 wine bottle for happy hour. We enjoyed both the red and white options. Food was excellent but the wings a little spicy for me. Husband and daughter loved the wings though. My favorite happy hour app special were the sliders. Service was excellent!!

    Always on point, the Bimibap was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Great complexity to the flavor!

    Lake Avenue never disappoints! A great selection of unique foods/entrees that you can’t find other places. The quality is unmatched by any other restaurant I’ve ever frequented and the service is always friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite place to eat, by far.

    Nice ambiance. Drinks good. Our group had a hamburger which was very good. Tofu bahn mi was good.
