Current Chef Director of Smoke- Hampton Manor and former head chef at The Wilderness, Stu emerged into the public eye upon winning the prestigious BBC Two’s Masterchef The Professionals in 2019 in which Marcus Wareing described his food as “daring”, and Monica Galetti called Deeley “the complete package”. His victory showcased not only his culinary skills but also his ability to create exceptional dishes under pressure. After working behind the scenes with the newly appointed Head Chef Patrick Hukins (previous Sous Chef of Smoke – Hampton Manor) to the kitchen team, brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to Laghi’s. The new focus on flavour-driven small plates and showcasing seasonal ingredients align perfectly with the restaurant’s continued values and commitment to a personalised casual dining experience.

Such a shame that this was their last night! We missed out on the grilled octopus which is why we didn’t give 5 stars , but as ever welcoming staff and good service, enjoyed everything from our pre dinner drinks, wine choice and especially the burrata. Wishing the whole team the best in their future endeavours !

Such a shame that Laghis is closing tonight, Hopefully the fantastic skills of the chefs and the front of house staff will be recognised and an opportunity arise for them to work together in another restaurant in Birmingham.

Real shame this place is closing, much better experience this time as there wasn't a big noisy group (not the restaurants fault last time) music was on point, service was great, and as always the food was insanely good. We're really going to miss Laghis

We have eaten here a few times and have took friends and always food has been tasty and of good quality it's a shame its closing I hope they find somewhere to reopen

Very friendly, welcoming staff on arrival. Beautiful food, very well prepared and presented, portion size just perfect. Restaurant well decorated, clean, noise level just right, music not too loud or quiet. Highly recommended overall.
