Dear Ladyhawk Management,
I wanted to express my deep disappointment with the recent dining experience my family had at Ladyhawk for my wife’s 40th birthday. It was our first time dining at your restaurant, and while our waiter was polite, he lacked detailed knowledge of the menu. After informing him of our daughter’s sesame allergy, we placed our order, only for him to return later and inform us that one of the appetizers we selected contained sesame. This created unnecessary confusion and delayed our meal, as he was unable to offer substitutions or suggest alternative dishes. It would have been helpful if we had been informed of this when we first placed the order.
Adding to our frustration, we noticed a neighboring table receiving thorough descriptions of the menu items from a different server, which we did not experience. As it was our first visit, a similar level of detail would have enhanced our experience, especially given that several items on the menu were unfamiliar to us.
The service further declined when our 4 ½-year-old daughter’s plate, which she was still eating from, was cleared by the busser without checking with us. Despite my explanation that she wasn’t finished, the plate had already been combined with others and couldn’t be recovered. Though we raised this with our waiter, no effort was made to replace the pita bread that we were charged $5 unknowling for or adjust our bill, leaving our daughter still hungry by the end of the meal.
Lastly, given the special occasion—a milestone birthday for my wife—I was disappointed that no acknowledgment was made by any of the staff, despite having mentioned it during our reservation.
Overall, the level of service fell far short of our expectations, especially for such a significant celebration. I hope that you will take this feedback into consideration to improve the dining experience for future guests.
