The LaChona brand was born out of a love for sharing incredible wine with close friends and family. Ask any Argentinian what their favorite pastime is and they will likely say “asado con familia”, or grilling with the family. Slow-cooked lechon, fire-kissed chorizo, and hand-crafted empanadas born of generational influences and traditions are all paired with the perfect Malbec, Cabernet Franc, or Semillon every Sunday. This shared familial experience, this act of “pairing” family and fine dining, defines the essence of LaChona’s food and wine experience.

Place was amazing only thing i would like is to be quiter it was very noisey but i would definitly go back also the burger meat was great but had no seasoning no flavor but ingridients where good

Food used to be better. Empanadas are smaller than before. Customer service is just ok. 2 ladies running to help many tables. We were waiting for more than 10 min to get the menu and water

Absolutely the best! From the wine, empanadas, and service, Cedar Mill is so lucky to have this restaurant-no more going to the Eastside for amazing food and experience!

LaChona is an excellent Argentinian wine and empanada restaurant located on the west side of Portland. They have an excellent selection of wine from Argentina. My favorite was the malbec. The empanadas were so delicious I didn't want to stop eating! I also recommend the flan as a great way to end the meal. In addition, the service was outstanding.

We love La Chona. The only complaint I would have is they often don’t have the menu items that are advertised or on their menu. Whether it be from running out or supply team issues. I’m not sure what the problem is. But of the four times I’ve been there I have had to pivot three of the four times. It will not stop us from coming to this restaurant. But it is disappointing when you’re looking forward to a specific item and they don’t have it due to either poor planning or supply issues. Especially on Father’s Day when we specifically chose this restaurant due to an advertisement for a specific item. They did take care of us. it just puts added stress on the staff. Which isn’t really fair.
