Great service and food as always . They seemed to have figured out the music level (still energetic but not over the top ) Staff is very friendly and efficient

Lovely setting right on the water, delicious local seafood. We did not stay for the music. The crab and lobster role was delicious, and the added bonus was the gluten free bun.

We were so looking forward to our meal at L'Abri after reading mostly very positive reviews. I even set an alarm for the month prior to make a reservation. We were greeted nicely and directed to a table by the window which I had requested. As we sat down we realized we were seated exactly where the air conditioning was blowing very cold air. We asked our server if we could move to another table because of the blowing cold air and she pretty gruffly said it couldn't be turned off because it would be too hot. The temperature that evening was the coolest it had been since June! We moved to another table and were "greeted" by a new server who took our order. I had ordered mussels, which I had thoroughly enjoyed in Halifax and elsewhere. These were not appealing at all. I tried 3 or 4, hoping for real sweet flavor and was highly disappointed. The sliced baguette that accompanied it was pretty dry. My husband ordered the veggie quinoa bowl with tofu and it was actually quite flavorful/spicy. One of our friends ordered the burger and was happy with it. When she asked if it could be prepared medium, our server flippantly said it's just prepared one way. No apology about not meeting a customer's unfulfilled request. The fries were a disappointment- not flavorful or done crispy enough. The 4th member of our group ordered the chicken tikka, which he found to be over-spiced. He shared his thoughts with our server who suggested adding more sour cream/crème fr and she brought two small containers, which helped somewhat. When the bill came, he had been charged for the extra cream, certainly not told so in advance and the server said she would then charge him for only one. In a restaurant of this reputation and price range, we found it absurd that they charged extra. When the server cleared our plates, she made no comment about my still very full serving of mussels left on the plate nor how the meal was. it's a pricey menu for the service and quality of food.

We had a lovely dinner here. The seafood chowder was the best we’ve had during our entire trip. The mussels were delicious and so was the crab and lobster roll. Try the onion rings. They are wonderful. The service was excellent. The wine list is skimpy, but the Pinot Noir I tried was excellent

Exceeded all of our expectations. They were able to accommodate to our Celiac with so many options and the food was excellent. We liked it so much we went two evenings in a row while on our trip to Cheticamp. Next time we are back we will be eating here again. Absolute must, especially for travelers with Celiac Disease!

L’ambiance est chaleureuse et l’accueil sympathique dans un décor unique près d’eau l’eau, j’y retournerai avec bonheur!

Great views weren’t matched by the food and service. We wanted to like it, but staff weren’t interested and the seafood linguini was subpar. Come for a drink to enjoy the scenery outside, but otherwise give it a miss.

Excellent service. We sat outside and the waitress was the best we've had in ages. Very nice, responsive, and caring. Tofu bowl delicious. Atmosphere perfect.
