We had a fantastic experience from start to finish! We were greeted and seated promptly. Loved the ambiance. The menu had a lot of great choices. Our waiter, Alessandro gave us excellent service along with other staff members. The food was delicious and the serving sizes are more than generous. We were also surprised with a free appetizer that was out of this world! Thank you for a wonderful evening! We will definitely be going back soon!

My new favorite restaurant in Sarasota!!! Delicious food and an interesting menu...not the usual spaghetti and chicken parm. The pastas are delicious. The Vitello Tonnato is one of the best I have ever had. They have just added an "aged" meat case. Next time we're going to try the Tomahawk Steak.

Wine, drinks and appetizers were top notch. Squash blossoms and fig with prosciutto in puff pastry very good. I had the 30 day aged ribeye. The steak was not particularly tender with far too much connective tissue that was very tough. My wife had the special risotto with two large shrimp that were overcooked. A bit disappointing. The tiramisu was also very good

Our meal was great, the service terrific and the ambiance was excellent. We brought our friends visiitng from Tampa and they were impressed. It is now our go-to restaurant.

La Violetta is one of the top 5 establishments in the Sarasota-Tampa area. This family owned and run restaurant is top-notch for food quality and creativity and the service is outstanding - they treat patrons like family. Can't say enough good things about La Violetta - a real gem. We had the whole Branzino and the Tris Ravioli along with the arugula salad - magnifique!

Emilio and Rosario the owners provide a warm welcoming greeting as you enter like you are a family member. As always the service is sublime and the cuisine is broad and inventive. From raw fish entrees to freshly made exquisitely flavored pasta dishes, La Violetta never fails to delight. It doesn't get any better than this anywhere in SW Florida. Make your reservations far in advance in season or enjoy the ability to grab a table in relatively short notice during the summer.
