La Viola - West offers an authentic Italian dining experience. An excellent place for date night, it has decor that includes wood furnishings, crisp linens, and soft, romantic lighting. The menu at La Viola - West includes a variety of pasta along with grilled and roasted meats such as veal, chicken, and fresh fish.

An array of desserts, hot coffees, and sodas are available to order with your meal at La Viola - West. However, no alcohol is served, although you are welcome to bring your own bottle with you. Offering catering services and designated event space, the restaurant hosts special parties and celebrations upon request.

The only issue I had was that I had called twice to make sure that they took credit cards and I was assured that they did. However, when I presented my card they told me that they don’t. I explained about my calls and the waiter did take it across the street to their other restaurant and ran it there.

Always a good time there. Food was great and had a nice chat with the owner Dominic. One of my faves in the city.

Wonderful food - natural, fresh, prepared from scratch with original ingredients. Service was exceptional! Definitely must try! I love it!

Visiting our daughter in Philadelphia, we ate here on Christmas Day and had the best experience. We were seated prompted at our reserved time and the staff was amazing and so welcoming. The food was delicious from soup and salad to entrees to dessert. We will definitely be back!

Booking was for La Viola West but they sat us at East. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but the food at East was mediocre. No one from the party was impressed. It wasn't bad just underwhelming especially for a special night like Christmas Eve. And considering the endless options for stellar Italian food in the NJ/Philly area, I wouldn't recommend.

La Viola just hits the spot and the BYOB is a bonus. This is our 2nd year going for Christmas Eve. Reservations recommended- there are only about 10 tables. Bread and dipping oil immediately graces the table. Two of us ordered one of the nights specials. Never felt rushed. Comfortable go to spot that really is just a perfect dinner out.

This restaurant is SMALL. The tables were about 2ft.x 2ft with a narrow path between. We blew out the candle because I was afraid the bread basket would catch fire. When we left the host at the hostess station had a menu open and it prevented me from opening the door. The food and service were good. I think they tried hard to be attentive. I had read, but forgotten that it was a BYOB. I didn't see any notice that it was cash only, so we were lucky to have enough cash.
