Our experience was not what we would normally expect from a tapas restaurant. The food was cooked well, but the flavour was lacking. There was nothing special about it. We expected more and we’re disappointed. The service was average. We were left at our table for quite a while before getting someone’s attention to order our drinks. We would not recommend La Vina for dinner.

Excellent food and attentive service but felt we were a bit rushed to leave when we were the last table at around 10.15 and the kitchen was closed then so no dessert available

The food at LaVina was amazing. Full of flavour with a great variety. Service was good and the overall feel was very intimate and welcoming

Food was all like warm and bland, we came back as it’s the first place we had as a date 10 years ago and definitely won’t be returning. They have no real alcohol free options other than soft drinks and the food was very poor. Spanish is our favourite so if in Manchester El Rincon De Rafa or Evuna are the much better options

Booked a table for 8.15pm, arrived at 8:10 and was seated. Noticed 2 seperate groups who were waiting around looking unimpressed, didn’t think anything of it until I noticed that no waitresses were serving other customers. 5 members of staff around one till clearly sorting out the agreaved parties who were waiting around. Seated for 25 minutes without even our drinks order being taken, despite asking 2 waitresses to take our order. One older lady clearly a manager, seen our interaction and ignored. The other older lady went over to the 2 groups and took off a significant chunk of their bill after the parties complained about long delays and poor food. A younger man came over to take our order (30 mins after we were seated) and I asked whether there is a wait for food (good job I did) as I advised him that we have not even had drinks taken yet so clearly there was a delay. I asked whether it is worth it to wait as there are clearly a lot of unhappy customers about something. The young man said it would be best to leave as the waits are very long. We appreciated his honesty and left. Had we not asked about waits we would have been there for a lot longer, I work in hospitality myself and 30 mins to be seen, despite staff looking at and ignoring us, is below the reasonable standard. I have been to La Viña twice before and I loved it, good and service was great. Extremely disappointed that our anniversary meal was ruined and a sour taste left from one of our favourite restaurants. Manager did not advise us of any issues upon arrival, nor did she apologise when she saw us leaving unhappy. Not happy and will not be returning in the near future!

Unfortunately service was absolutely terrible. Manager was very understanding and know they to improve. Would give it another chance.
