Come dine in The Oldest Tapas Bar in Scotland Since we opened in 2003, La Tortilla Asesina has established itself as one of Inverness's most popular restaurants.

It has developed a unique selection of paellas, some classic spanish paellas and some original local paellas. We have developed paella into a dish for any taste and any occasion, including delivery!

We have a large range of tapas which you can treat as a meal, or as a starter to a meal. There are tapas to suit all tastes and we have some signature dishes that are unique to the restaurant, like our gambas pil-pil and our garlic chicken .. they have to be tried.

We also have a range of specialist drinks that you won't find anywhere else, like our range of sangrias. We go to a lot of trouble to offer an interesting and affordable range of Spanish wine to have in the restaurant or to take away.

                                                We had an excellent meal, the chorizo in wine sauce was delicious, all of it was delicious and the staff were great. Love the venue too.

                                                Solid good Spanish food. The two-person paella was well worth the stop. We had the Valencia paella. I would also recommend having the Gambas Pil-Pil, as it was quite delicious. I do not recommend the Pan con Tomate unless that is a Spanish comfort food for you. I would also not recommend the Patatas Bravas; it tasted like they used mayonnaise rather than creams. It was HOT in the restaurant which made it unpleasant until they opened the door. The service was inconsistent.

                                                Food was excellent. Could have been warmer and plates could have been warmed before serving. Server was very polite and attentive but staff were slow to take order. Nice atmosphere and not noisy. Would go back again

                                                Very flavourful food, although the portion of fish/meat in the paella was very disappointing. Mostly a flavoured rice & veg dish. Our mussels were forgotten from the dish when served. However, the service was lovely and attentive.
