OUTDOOR SEATING IS ON A FIRST COME BASIS. ¡Hola! La Tasca means "local gathering place" in Spanish, and it translates perfectly at our lively Arlington Heights location. We have been serving delicious, authentic, creative, and contemporary Spanish cuisine since 1996. We are located directly South of the Arlington Heights train station in the Central Business District of downtown Arlington Heights. La Tasca tapas restaurant is perfect for dinning alone, couples, families, gatherings, and large groups. Friendly atmosphere offers guests a variety of hot and cold tapas or small dishes. We also offer soups, salads, and larger dishes. Try the lightly breaded calamari, sundried tomato alioli, Bacon wrapped dates, red bell pepper butter, Galician-style charred octopus, charbroiled lamb chops, air-dried Spanish meats & aged cheeses, herbed goat cheese baked in tomato basil, and of course our Paellas & homemade desserts!

Our rooms accommodate private and semi-private dining up to 65 people in the one, over 100 in another, and the whole restaurant can host up to 300. Maybe the chef had an off night or the chef has changed, but food was not as good on this visit as in the past. The tortilla espanola was a bit dry and bland (where were the onions?) and the beef in the pinchos de solomillo was not as tender as usual. Recipes were still authentic and other items were good. Service was good. Still a good place to go, just a little disappointing on this particular visit.

We really like La Tasca, but we think it is time for them to make some changes to get people back again. Maybe offer happy hour deals? Or change the menu a bit? Do more marketing? Or play music again, or have dancers perform? Some of the other area restaurants seem to do a better job now attracting customers. Why?

Fantastic menu. Fab ambience. Service wonderful n fast! We had patatas Ali oli , croquetas , gazpacho and stuffed chicken breast and Sangria!!! Delish…had to go for a walk I was so full..even though I took home leftovers!!! I make all these dishes at home…so pleasing me is difficult…but, loved it! Gazpacho a bit to grainy..I like more liquidy…but perfect taste!

Service was slow, we got situated at our table and no server for a while. Our server was good at the beginning, but then disappeared. Not great service

I had an incredible dining experience here! The food was absolutely amazing, and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the meal was definitely the bacon-wrapped dates—bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend trying them! Every dish we tried was fantastic, from start to finish. The quality and attention to detail in the food were evident in every bite. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a memorable meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent food. Had a larger plate item, the filete romesco (filet of beef with romesco sauce and asparagus), which was absolutely delicious. Their beef is always exceptional. The delicias andaluzas (bacon wrapped dates) were delicious, as usual. The champinones Barcelona (mushroom caps stuffed with spinach and pine nuts in a saffron sauce) were outstanding. Last, the decadent delicias de chocolate was so rich we had to order some for carryout to have at home later. Wine prices are high, running around 4X retail for a bottle. Service was always spot-on, friendly and timely. Great place for multiple reasons and occasions - had our anniversary dinner there. Food prices are rather high as well. If you can get past the cost, you'll enjoy everything at La Tasca.
