La Strada Italian Kitchen and Bar, located in downtown Birmingham, is an authentic Italian Restaurant opened by Restaurateur and Chef Zharko Palushaj in late 2015. He began developing his concept in 2013 when he was named Restaurateur of the year by Hour Magazine. The menu features top quality of Italian/European products, variation of aged and fresh cheeses, salumis, pizzas, in-house made pasta, fish and seafood flown from all over the world. We also include top American beef and poultry , classic desserts and gelato. As our Chef-Owner's philosophy states, "Old world meets New world, where quality meets preparation and European style service meets expectations of the guests". Another very nice dining experience. Had the Veal Milanese which was absolutely superb. Very difficult to cook this dish to be juicy and succulent given the thin pounding of the meat, but the chef accomplished it. Service from Matthew was outstanding - a new addition to the team who brings vast experience, and he's a great add to the restaurant. Will certainly return again soon.

Nice spot, food is OK but not worth the price. $160 for Branzino! (ok was for two but was still ridiculous). Served with a pickled cucumber ……… another $15 for spinach.

Dear Guest, Branzino, oven-baked Mediterranean Seabass 3-lb or 1500 grams (European) marinated in Chiaravoli extra virgin olive oil, flown on weekly from the Mediterranean Sea coast drizzled with salsa verde, served with marinated English cucumbers cured in gin and olive oil (summer time). Prices were way too high for the amount of food. $12 for olives, in which there were only 3!

Dear Guest, Your feedback is appreciated. Our restaurant stands by the saying "Guests are always right." We serve Cerignola olives 8 -count with olive oil, celery, lemon and orange zest. Charcuterie and antipasto are dishes prepared with a variety of ingredients. If a mistake happened with your order, please accept our apologies, and we will correct it. An enjoyable dinner at La Strada. Food was very good and service attentive. They have raised their prices quite a lot - a typical pasta is now $40 so no margin for error here - execution has to be flawless. It has to be considered a high end place to eat vs being an accessible neighborhood option. That puts it in a more competitive class esp when taking into account the strong competition in Detroit.

Dear guest, Thank you for the feedback, noted! We do have pastas for $30, $35. We did our own research, and the prices are relatively the same at other Italian restaurants in our area. Furthermore, the prices of food and other items have increased significantly,(as is not in our control) despite our best efforts to maintain affordable prices. As a service industry business, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services while maintaining our standards and values.
