La Posada is a Mexican restaurant concept that features cuisine from the Yucatan peninsula and southern regions of Mexico. Due to the geographic location, the peninsula of Yucatan has developed signature flavors that are unlike any other found in the Mexican Republic. La Posada will spotlight pre-columbian and mestizo dishes that combine native fruits and vegetables with spices brought to the continent by the conquest. This restaurant is a tribute to the late Felix Rosado and the cantina bears his name. Felix was a Mexican immigrant who lived in Milford, Pennsylvania and opened the original La Posada Mexican Restaurant in Dingman’s Ferry in the late 1980’s. The restaurant was not just a destination for tourists visiting the Poconos; it became a favorite to locals. Milford Hospitality Group is proud to honor Felix and carry on the legacy of La Posada; an experience many people still remember fondly.

This was our first visit to La Posada & Felix’s Cantina and it won’t be our last. We sat outside, which was very nice on such a nice evening. We ordered guacamole, the Queso Fundido, Poc Chuc (pork) and three tacos (chicken, pork and brisket). Everything was delicious! The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be eating here again.

Great place. Only issue is there needs to be more fish options including griiled choices like salmon. We were 4 who dont eat meet so our choices were limited ..what we did eat was delicious

Our server was great, very friendly and nice. She really made our experience enjoyable and tried to make up for all the flaws with the kitchen. Really not sure what was going on in the kitchen because it took almost two hours for our table of 4 to get tacos. The food was good but not worth a 2 hour wait.

They were out of guacomole and avacodos. This is a Mexican restaurant. For Dinner. The waitress said without the avacado, the dishes aren't the same. Most dishes featured avacodos. Kitchen: go to the grocery store and buy some avacodos! Did I mention this was a Mexican restaurant?

We were dubious at first after seeing some reviews on google, however we were positively surprised by our experience. Initially there was an overwhelming smell of fish, however once plates were cleared this disappeared. The service was good and the food and drinks were fab.

Great Food and Festive Atmosphere! We would definitely go there again. Best Mexican dishes. It is Yucatán based which was different and better than other Mexican places.

We ordered the Mai Mai tacos (a must and a normalnorder for my husband) and the fried red snapper. The tacos were overstuffed with light flavourful perfectly fried peices of fish. The red snapper was gigantic and fried crispy outside with soft fleshy meat in the inside. My new favorite there. The fish was gigantic. The drinks were good as usual. A definite must try if you haven't ventured in yet and if you have, well than you know how good it is.

This place was such a cute find for our family. We had a table in a back room that was removed from the main dining area somewhat. It created a nice quiet dinner for us which we loved. We were still able to hear the great live local Latin music playing on the front deck. The meal was tasty and portions were perfect. Definitely worth our trip here.
