   La Plata in East Sheen is a hidden gem! The feta salad is fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced, while the beef skewers are tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. A lovely spot for simple, delicious Mediterranean dishes done right

   We had the Steak Sampler for 2. 4 steaks of 170gms each. Rump, Ribeye, Sirloin, Filet. Steaks were poorly presented (just put on a plate with no garnishing etc). A piece of meat on a plate as you would have at home. Actually, 4 steaks stacked overlapping each other, served on one regular dinner plate. It did not look appealing at all. It felt like the kitchen transfer dish before being plated up nicely. Steaks were not well charred or caramelised to bring out the flavours, and the fat (on both the Ribeye and Sirloin) was not rendered down or seared/crisped. White fat on a steak is not appealing nor flavourful. Combined with the presentation, what should have been the highlight was an underwhelming disappointment. £72 for a plate of 4 average mildly grilled steaks is poor value. Whilst cheaper than the likes of a Gaucho, the premium paid when eating steak out in a restaurant has to include better presentation than eating a supermarket steak at home. The overall experience was poor and we won’t be returning. Save a little extra and go to Gauchos… it is well worth the small premium over La Plata.

   Very good service. Very good Morcilla and great steak - 500gms rib-eye - but the French Fries were not quite crispy and crunchy enough.

   Food was good; as always, but claiming not to be able to do a Rose spritzer unless we bought a whole bottle of soda water for £4 on top of a small (175ml) £5.25 glass of house wine - and then trying to include an additional £12 for a cocktail version - was a bit cheeky, particularly when part of a £300 bill.

   Second to none local restaurant. Not only that - one of the best steaks and empanados that we ate in London. Excellent team that makes you feel at home. Great choice of wines. For those who likes dessert - you have plenty. Thank you for keeping it up!

   La Plata Steakhouse in East Sheen is a hidden gem! My new favourite go to choice is the Beef Skewers with a side order of Feta Salad. The steaks are perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The ambiance is cozy yet modern, and the staff is attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. Great wine selection too. Highly recommend for a fantastic dining experience!
