Ce restaurant magnifiquement restauré en centre-ville, sur Magazine Street, vous attend pour le dîner, le souper et le brunch du dimanche. Vous pourrez apprécier la cuisine contemporaine de Louisiane préparée par le chef Justin Devillier, primé par la récompense de la fondation James Beard. Le nom, La Petite Épicerie, rend hommage à l'histoire de sa maison, un bâtiment érigé plus d'un siècle auparavant. La structure originale a été construite à la fin des années 1800 et s’appelait le Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. En 1908, il a été dévasté par un incendie et transformé en une épicerie à service complet. Plus tard, il fut notamment une épicerie fine et une boucherie, Fine Foods Vonderhaar jusqu'en 1982. Ouverte en mars 2004, La Petite Epicerie aspirait à fournir le quartier avec des thés exotiques, du café torréfié localement et des produits frais. Grâce à cela, ce restaurant propose une expérience culinaire qui évoque la nostalgie de la vieille Nouvelle-Orléans.

                                                  Great place to celebrate my 50th birthday! The food was the star of the dinner. It was loud but not so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking clearly. Would absolutely return!

                                                  Very disappointed in our experience. Two of the meals were very good unfortunately mine was not one of those. The steak was so tough it was inedible. Our fourth entry never even arrived even though we asked about it multiple times. Our waiter was completed out and left us waiting multiple times didn’t check drinks didn’t check food. Also tried to charge us for a $200 bourbon pour that was never served. Would not return or recommend.

                                                  Le Petit Grocery is a classic New Orleans restaurant. It is great for lunch with a friend or date night with my husband. It has wonderful ambience, food, and service. It is a favorite with locals and tourist alike. The specials are always so good.

                                                  There are very restaurants in New Orleans that compare. The food at LPG expresses deep and sincere reverence for Louisiana tradition without ever feeling stuck in time. The ingredients are top notch and flavors are bright and balanced. It's absolutely fine dining with the service to prove it, yet manages never to feel fussy or pretentious. It's cozy enough for a romantic dinner, and energetic enough for a celebration. We couldn't love it more.
