    It's been out 3rd time visiting La Pata Gorda, as always the hostess was amazing and welcoming, the food runners as well. The food was delicious. But in this occasion our server was not very amicable. The server did not introduce herself, didn't offer any suggestions, wasn't very patient when we weren't ready to order our food. Snapped at us when we order our cocktails. She wasn't very pleasant in general. It's the small details that count, when other tables order the check we saw they were given some kind of courtesy shot, we didn't get that and we didn't even get our printed check in the little crab ceramics that is so lovely and unique of the place. We understand not everyone was going to be cheerful all the time and I understand this is the exception not the norm but it did influence our visit not being a 5 star visit as it has been other times.

    The food was good overall, prices are not too expensive and it goes by the type of the food. It was a good first-time experience.

    There is no baby changing station Both restrooms remain continuously occupied by the service staff on a carousel like parade from the outside door and employees only door to the restrooms back and forth. We had to return to the table and do a couple of trips to see whether any of their restrooms were finally open and free to use. No patrons nor anyone else were on the queue, restrooms were simply locked each time in excess of 6-12 min The crab legs were thin and they did not taste good. Further we got sick from it. We were sitting inside at its north west corner where there is ZERO traffic. The seating area is so incredibly tight that despite our location, one of their bus boys managed to knock off our 8 month old baby’s high chair onto the ground ! Things to rescue: perhaps The seafood chicharrón’s (a cheap and tiny version of fish n’ chips) sauce was interesting and it tingled one’s palate. 😊 The whole brujo (fried fish from Galapagos) was ok, not spectacular as one would have expected from such a dish. 😌 The ribeye was more broiled than properly grilled 3/4! The signature cazuela was a sad version pf a paste risotto with a monotonous flavor 😌 Such an experience isn’t worth $400, nor the desire to ever be back
