La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).

A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.

The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.

We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

    A 3 course foraging menu showcasing the rare and amazing produce of our ancient woodlands. This menu is exclusively available at La Palombe for the special event of the London restaurant festival. For each course, the ingredients were foraged by hand by the owner James (and his trusty dog Alba!) and cooked by our chef patron Jake (formally head chef at the three michelin starred The Ledbury.) To begin we have Cevenne onion soup with gruyere and Wiltshire truffle toast, followed by wild noisette venison with musquee de Provence, pontoise cabbage & gathered walnuts, and finally a warm clementine tart with spiced crème fraiche & wild plum jam for desert.                                           The amazing welcome and service by co-owner James was matched by Jake’s gorgeous thoughtful menu. They have struck a fantastic balance between feeling like you’re a regular at a neighborhood favorite and being treated to a special occasion. From starters to refined farm/forest-to-table mains to desserts, every dish was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. We will no doubt return again and again.

                                          We absolutely loved this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the ambience is great and the food was delicious. The manager went out of his way to make sure we were happy and well catered for. I think it is reasonably priced for London and its location. A complementary limoncello was much appreciated!

                                          What a find of a restaurant a little bit further along from the busy side of High St Kensington. Went for lunch and we had the venison croquettes (a must have!), the trout tartare, red mullet and the venison main, which was cooked to perfection. Had a freshly baked madeleine to finish, and that was also delicious. Really enjoyed the dining experience - on top of the amazing meal, the restaurant was cozy and had excellent service from Sergio. Easily one of the best meals in London. Thank you La Palombe!

                                          I had a great experience during my visit to La Palombe, starting with the service we recieved from the moment we step foot was flawless, the restaurant has a warm and cozy setting with an excellent bar. We had their famous Côte de Boeuf as the main and it was cooked to perfection, tasted amazing, and looked beautiful.

                                          We had a really wonderful evening celebrating our daughter’s 22nd birthday. The food was outstanding and the staff so attentive. We were very impressed with our experience. We also enjoyed meeting the owner who made a special effort to welcome us. Thank you ! We will be back very soon.

                                          Great evening and delicious meal at La Palombe! Food quality and service are really good but prices still a bit too high for the experience. Please add some real bread for the cheese instead of those crackers. We will be back!
