La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).

A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.

The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.

We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

Gosh they were all so nice! What a lovely local restaurant. We were warmly welcomed like regulars and the owner made sure we were happy with our table and introduced himself. We ordered all the starters and sides and shared between 3 so we could try everything. I will most definitely go back, thank you for the delicious food and the easy evening which is increasingly rare in busy London restaurants.

Five-star across the board. Food along with service were exceptional. Entire party throughly enjoyed our experience at La Palombe and we will be visiting again when we next return to London.

First dinner at La Palombe and it won’t be our last! Excellent starters were chargrilled octopus and confit duck leg, followed by a lovely rabbit main. The dark chocolate tart with blackberries was utterly delicious. Very friendly service combined with great food makes this a real neighbour gem.

A warm welcome to Chef Patron Jake Leach who is a true find. We chose the featured menu which included onion soup, venison prepared in several ways and a wonderful citrus tarte to finish. Everything was excellent, well presented and carefully balanced. We are strong fans of Il Portico but now will add La Palombe to our list.

The food is exquisite I have many allergies, and the team really looked after me. I am so happy I found a new venue that only uses quality ingredients and also tasted amazing! My partner especially liked the croquettes, and we both enjoyed the venison.
