Bringing to the helm Matthieu Landillon from the coastal city of Marseille, La Nouvelle allows us to explore classic French Bistro fare with an elevated edge. Enjoyed our second visit to La Nouvelle tonight to celebrate our Anniversary. This has become our favorite celebration place! They were so good the first time, that we had to order the Baguettes, Beet Terrine and Pommes Aligot again. Tonight we added the oysters - freshly shucked of course, Seafood Boulibase and the Croque Madame. All highly recommended! Oh wait...the dessert... don't miss out on the L'Orange! Looking forward to our next visit...hopefully Brunch!

This was my second trip to this restaurant but it will not be my last! We enjoyed a full range of appetizers, entrees and desert. All were excellent as was the service.

Finally, a restaurant that does everything right. Staff was attentive and well trained. The food was outstanding and delicious. It was properly presented and checked for meeting our order to our standard before leaving us. A great variety of menu items made our selections difficult, but it just means we'll go back for more. Caviar was a real treat as was the sole and stuffed trout. Incredible wine selection!

This was our 3rd time at La Nouvelle. First time was with friends to try it out, second was for our wedding anniversary, and this time was to celebrate my birthday. So, we clearly loved our first 2 experiences enough to come back for another special occasion. It did not disappoint. We brought our 2 kids with us for their first time, and they loved it as much as we do (and they are pickier than we are). We had the escargot, the mini baguettes, a dozen raw oysters and Foie Gras Torchon for appetizers. For our main course, we had the Sole Meunière, Duck Confit and the Croque Madam Sandwich. EVERYTHING was amazing! We’ve tried different food every time we come and we’ve yet to have something we haven’t loved. Then we had the Blueberry Tarts and Tart Tartan for dessert and we loved them too. If we didn’t live 45 minutes away, we’d probably eat at La Nouvelle at least a couple of times a week, for lunch and/or dinner. Definitely one of the best, most consistently excellent dining experiences we had over the last 25 years we’ve lived in the Jacksonville metro area.

Our first time at the restaurant. Service and food were outstanding. The preparation and the flavors were truly French and cooked perfectly. I had the stuffed trout and my wife had the bouillabaisse, and both were delicious. The wine list is extensive and pure French from all regions.

Great French cuisine and knowledgeable staff with excellent seating and ambiance wide selection of French wines. Outdoor seating provides a cozy setting with free parking. Best French restaurant in St Augustine

This is a wonderful piece of the “hexagon” in St Augustine. The food evokes memories of a French bistro, delicious creations in every bite. With Edith Piaf singing quietly in the background, and sipping a lovely pour of Sauvignon Blanc, you have all the ingredients for a lovely afternoon or evening.

Just a lovely upgrade to the former Preserved restaurant. Excellent French food, HUGE wine list, great staff. Loved it!!
