La Masseria is a one-of-a-kind dining experience with locations in the heart of Manhattan and East Greenwich, Rhode Island — and newest opening, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The inspiration for La Masseria comes from ancient farmhouses of Southern Italy. The cornerstone of the restaurant is capturing Puglia’s cuisine and bringing it to South Florida and thus capturing the region simple, classic dishes while utilizing the freshest natural ingredients harvested from land and sea.

Overall, La Masseria is a very attractive space. The food is usually excellent. On our latest visit, the glasses on our table,were water stained and buzzing with bugs. We were sitting outside. I asked the waiter to change the glasses and saw him exchange them with the glasses at an unoccupied table. He also seemed annoyed by our request. I ordered the octopus appetizer and the presentation was beautiful but the generous portion of octopus was overly salted. The pasta special was grossly overpriced at $48.50. Sunday sauce is not an expensive dish at most restaurants yet this was priced 50% above the other pastas on the menu. If I go back, I’ll be sure to ask the prices of the specials when the server recites them. I’ve had similar experiences at this restaurant but didn’t expect it from a humble pasta dish. The dish itself was excellent.

Our waiter was terrible. Arrogant dismissive and rude. He would not agree to make modifications for allergies; did not suggest alternatives on the menu or adjustments to the ingredients of any dishes for a garlic allergy. He would not get my husband the glass of wine he asked for with the food because he said it was just too hard for him to get over to our table. He never apologized or tried to make it right. We live in the neighborhood and liked the food but It was such an awful experience we will not go back and we will tell all of our friends and family not to support such a horrible place.

Great food and service well worth the price. A bit of noise because place was filled. Cost a bit more but food was worth it

This is the best Italian restaurant in palm Beach County. It is like being in Italy with Italian waiters. Problem is they don’t have enough staff. Pricey

Had a wonderful dinner with two other couples. Everything was fantastic ….food, service, wine selections and wait staff. My one complaint was the road noise. We were seated along the last row of tables along Northlake and the din of traffic was sometimes very disturbing as large trucks, motorcycles came roaring by.
