MN Wine Bar at the Mezzanine offers a casual chic French experience : drink wine selected with care, cold cuts, pâtés and cheeses from France, and spend a beautiful moment as if you were in the middle of Paris.

We enjoyed the food and the variety of reasonably priced choices. We were at a high top table. Not comfortable. Too small to hold the plates. The stool seats were too small and the wire legs were uncomfortable against our legs. We will go back but only if we can sit at a low table.

Always a favorite for brunch upstairs in the wine bar (reservations recommended). Omlettes are consistently good,, served with potatoes that are so yummy, and a nice green side salad with vinagrette. It all tastes so clean. Friends in the party also love the waffles, especially the one with duck confit on it. Wish the beverage menu was a little better (mimosa is a little different than the classic oj and fizzy wine option) and the hightop chairs slightly more comfy but it never deters us from returning. Great food, good value, pleasant service..

We have been here before in the lower section which offers great lunches/coffee/dessert, snacks. We saw they offered dinner at the quaint above mezzanine. The young man that served us was excellent and was very attentive to everyone eating at the time. The menu had a lot of French offerings that we enjoyed. We will definitely be back. It is also located in a perfect spot in center of Portsmouth which allows a nice walk and shopping on the way there and a nice stroll back or to stop for a cocktail at another bar. We enjoyed our “date” night! :o)

All of the elements of a great French bistro. Excellent food, well priced wine selection and terrific service. It's such a treat to have this unique wine bar/cafe in Portsmouth. Well worth a visit!!
