This is our second visit and the food is amongst the best we’ve eaten in the area. The service is excellent and they were very careful with our food, allergies and other dietary requirements. The restaurant is a tad bit loud but still 100% worth visiting We will be back again soon.

Our first time at La Lupa was a great experience. The food and service were excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Every dish is a hit, you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend the Tuscan fried chicken app and Brussels sprouts, those are my staples every time!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. Some of the food was, so far, the closest I have found in NJ to genuine Italian flavors and food - especially the pizza. Some of the other dishes were Americanized to appeal to more of an American palate: for example, the suppli are giant, each probably about the size of 2-3 that you'd get in Rome, and are stuffed with so much cheese you almost can't taste the rice - but they're delicious! The same applies for dessert: well and truly delicious, but there is almost nothing italian about their dessert menu... which suits me fine because I'm not a fan of Italian desserts usually. So all in all, food wise, we had a wonderful, delightful experience. The restaurant was noisy for a place as small as it is, and we found ourselves frequently having to repeat ourselves to have a conversation, and the retro hip-hop music didn't really feel like the right vibe - I'd have gladly taken contemporary Italian pop music instead - but the food more than makes up for it. The only real suprise is the bill: a little higher than expected, but we should have been prepared for that considering that the menu only consisted of starters, pizza, pasta, main dishes and sides. The main dishes were at market price for fish and meat, fair enough, but we had no idea each bottle of water was $9 while we ordered them, nor did we know how much the coffee would come to, or how much the desserts were because we didn't see a dessert menu: the options were just listed out to us by the waiter. So yes, by the time you count all the 'invisibles" : drinks, dessert, coffee, and then add the tax and service, our bill surprised us a fair bit. The service was attentive and excellent, and the food was of a high quality, so we'd be happy to return again without hesitation; we'll just be more prepared next time.

We had such a great dinner here that I can’t stop thinking about when we’ll be back. When we walked out my husband said to me “that was phenomenal”. I have literally never heard him say that before! Booking my next reservation right now!

Best restaurant around. New seasonal items they added were insanely delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing. Started with the crudo the fish was so fresh and very refreshing dish. Also had the Roman gnocchi which is to die for. Next we had the new spicy sausage pizza which was the best pizza I ever ate. For the main course we had the new lamb dish and ribs and the sweet corn pasta which was out of this world 11/10. Highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Best meal we have had in a very long time. Food was outstanding. Went with my husband and we were both so impressed. We shared the rice ball and artichoke appetizers, both were delicious. My husband ordered the lamb (which was perfectly cooked) and I had the black bass - it was the best fish entree I have ever had. Brownie dessert was also really yummy. Justin was our server, very knowledgeable and attentive. My only complaint would be that the music was very loud. Will definitely be returning.
