Located on the 34th floor of the recently debuted AC Hotel Downtown LA, La Lo La Rooftop, is an ethereal, sophisticated oasis high above the heart of DTLA. Spanning almost 4,000 sq.ft, the expansive wraparound rooftop, designed by award-winning design studio Yabu Pushelberg, provides an intimate setting for visitors and locals. Guests are invited to enjoy specialty cocktails, Spanish-style tapas, and a rotating program of live music and DJs — all with commanding 270 degree views of the city.

Food was very good, however we were sat at a table in direct sunlight and it took almost 1 hour to get a burrito and a chips and salsa dish. The direct sun and corner without breeze was intolerable. Waitress was understanding and comp’d dessert. Perhaps if we were under shade with an umbrella with a breeze, wait time wouldn’t have need so painful because the food quality was very good.

They were having a private party so I’m not sure if the waiter was involved with putting it together but the two hours we were there he only came to us 3 times and our drinks were empty for more than 30 mins. Also, we found hair in our food!

Service was terrible. Waitress went on break, didn’t inform us and food came out cold, after asking several staff the status of our order.

We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated with a reservation. Not the worst but the waiter was nice/friendly. The food options could have been better (they ran out of the steak) so only had one other meat option which was shrimp. The shrimp was good and so were the drinks. The carrot cake dessert was also good. All in all it was a good experience and I would go back. It was nice going at night to take in the city lights at night.

teniamos reserva y al parecer ganaron nuestra mesa nos sentaron en un sofa y mesa baja cuando ibamos a desayunar… la hostess no estuvo fue nuestra mesera quien nos ayudo

We really enjoyed the view, the service, and the incredible food! We had some starters, and the dates wrapped in bacon were incredible, wonderful mocktails, amazing carrot cake, and several other dishes that were great. We arrived around 515 and it was relatively quiet, but the music was turned up as a DJ started later on.

Everything was great, the only minor detail…was hoping for more shade since we dined early and it was late June.

I found this restaurant almost at random after searching dining options close to the USC hotel where I’m staying. It’s on the 34th floor (rooftop) of the AC Marriott hotel. The views are beyond impressive. You’ll go from sunset to lights during the course of an evening. Music is loud and not ideal if it’s a business meal and you’re trying to hear and be heard. Our drinks were good. Their take on a gin and tonic with cucumber was my favorite. Food was good. Menu is not that extensive. Shishito peppers were a favorite at my table along with the steak skewers and potato’s with paprika. I would return for the view alone, though I’d prefer being there with friends than with business colleagues.
