Reservation was for (3) at 5:00 pm for Thanksgiving buffet. We checked in at 4:49. Person checking us in said they were running behind and there would be about a 30-minute wait. However, we noticed they were taking groups in a few at a time. This was fine until we observed people were being seated that had arrived/checked in after us. At 5:45, I stopped one of the hostesses seating people to ask why we were still waiting. She said the guy that was handling the check-in was advising on seating. He had disappeared. She and I waited several minutes but he could not be located. She finally said, come with me and sat us. I stopped to express my dissatisfaction with the whole situation to (2) male mangers who were just standing around. They were disinterested in my frustration and (1) just said sarcastically "Happy Thanksgiving." Once we were seated, I had to go hunt down a server for drinks. I lucked upon a wonderful waitress who took care of our drinks for the rest of the evening. I am glad to have found her as none of the other servers ever stopped at our table. I have rated the experience as poor for various reasons: Lengthy wait time; no explanation & no follow-up; managers lack of attention/customer service; server inattention; missing deserts (no apple/pecan pies) as advertised; deserts/breads available were stale (carrot cake). Just an all around unpleasant experience. My friends and I will not return and I do not recommend.

Reservation time was not honored and was 20 minutes past our seating time Food selection was not was we would have expected for $70 per person and advertised menu was much different than what was served. Service not great as I had to ask 4 times for an iced tea. Gratuity amount was quite high for people just serving drinks and clearing plates Would never return again for any meal to this restaurant, especially a holiday buffet

Great idea for Thanksgiving if you don’t feel like cooking and eating left over for days. Low of choices and it all was very tasty

Would have loved to be seated indoors, but they only had outdoor available was kind of sunny and hot, but overall great staff and food

Outstanding food and a wonderful selection. This was top-level! We had to wait for our reservation, but free mimosas and champagne were a great touch. Our wait staff was very good, although a couple of ladies appeared to get tired toward the end of our meals and didn’t come back to the table. Perhaps it was a change in staff, because Veronica took over from that point, and she was terrific! I did think requesting pre-payment and including a 23% tip on a buffet was a little much. It was explained that this was to keep the flow and make it easier to come and go, but I didn’t expect that from this level of property. Mandating tips at that level was disappointing. But overall a lovely experience.

Reservations were fine, but bar prices were crazy high if you wanted something different then what they offered. Had no idea our reservation was outside which was lovely until the sun started to go down, they have no shades or way to block the sun and it was brutal to the point of making one of our guests sick. The food, well extremely disappointing, they supposedly had a raw bar with crab legs and other types of fish also backed grouper none of which they had, several of the guest in our party are New Englanders and really were disappointed by that. On the good side they did have salmon which they enjoyed and crab salad (make that at home) I was served a piece of turkey that were like scraps, there was literally skin and whatever, no turkey, went back and tried turkey again it was very good, the prime rib was ok but you only get a butter knife so very hard to cut. Veggies and others were ok, nothing to make you say I can wait to come back. The dessert bar I tried the bread pudding excellent that was, no one could do dessert as the sun was at a point right in several of the group we had to leave it was blinding, they honestly need to have shades or something to block the sun, not just in our area around the corner tables had the same issues. I had high hopes to love it we live less the 15 minutes away, but that will not happen. Sorry for the crummy review but it had to be said and hopefully they can realize you don't advertise your going to have something and not have it, and ask if you want to be outside when making reservations, but after this experience ask for sure if your going to be outside, you don't if the sun is going to be setting. All and all I would not recommend it to anyone, at least the buffets. I believe there are a few more smaller restaurants you may want to try them, but buffets...find some place else

We loved it! Great food with lots of options. Something for everyone. Worth the price. Nice touch having a mimosa/cocktail holding tank while we waited for our table.

We have been to the La Hacienda buffet MANY times. We decided to go for the Thanksgiving buffet. Unclear where to checkin. We had an 11 a.m. reservation. When we were taken to our table it was outside in the SUN! We requested to sit inside. There had not been mentioned that we were sitting outside when we paid/confirmed reservations. So we were left to wait outside. I finally went in to find the person to see what our status was. She couldn't find the manager which happened to be right behind us. He said to seat us inside. We were given a table by the in/out door which constantly had people in/out. Needless to say it ruined our experience. We won't be back!!!! Food: 4/5 |
