The food was delicious! French onion soup is a must, perfectly melted Gruyère and a generous amount of soup. I also had the Croque Monsieur which was so filling and beautifully melted. Great ambience, attentive staff and we were not rushed. Made for an absolutely wonderful family get together. Will be back!

I came with my friends again at the bar and the place is even prettier in Christmas season, the bar staff was stunning they make us feel great,, I’ll definitely coming back thank you Omar Alena Sean bencher and Jorge you guys are amazing!!! We definitely coming back !!

Our reservation clearly stated that we were to be prompt or else risk a cancellation followed by a $$$ penalty. We rolled up exactly on time only to be ushered to stand by the piano and wait for nearly 20 minutes. Asides from the one-sided requirement for punctuality we were seated and ordered a bottle of wine. When it arrived I tasted it, ordered our meal and left for the restroom. I was barely gone 5 minutes and returned to the table where the food was being delivered. Unbelievable that a kitchen could whip up a Duck Confit so quickly. Anyway- I felt pressured to eat quickly. With a full bottle of wine to consume we took our time and finally managed to enjoy dinner followed by a nice Profiterole for dessert. The food was tasty, our six different servers/Somm were pleasant enough even though the service seemed rushed. I guess it could have gone the other way. NYC is expensive, I get it but when my portion left me hungry I have an issue with the price/value ratio.

We had a early family Christmas dinner here last night. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The service was very nice and the Sommelier was very helpful. The food was very good although two of our orders had steaks cooked well done rather than medium rare so that was disappointing. We didn't want to wait for new ones as we had already waited a bit for our food to arrive. Everyone enjoyed the desserts as well. We have a family member with a peanut allergy and they were very understanding of this issue and assured us there wouldn't be a problem with her order. The overall cost of the meal was overpriced but you do pay for the atmosphere too. I think we will try somewhere different for our Christmas get together next year.

Although I was not hurried, the food was delivered much slower than expected. The time gap between dishes was too wide. Other staff members, besides our waitress, seemed disjointed. I expect smoother operations from this La Boucherie. The eggplant gateau was unbearably salty. But no problem the waitress struck it from the cost. Our waitress overall was outstanding; she spoke clearly and kindly, and was attentive.
