Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

It was such a beautiful experience. The quality of food, the service, and the ambience was incredible. I want to do a special thanks to Ronald whose service cannot be topped. If you dine here and are lucky enough to be served by him, definitely order what he recommends; he knows what he’s talking about. I also want to do a special thanks to Mufti whose hospitality was beyond words. An incredible experience with incredible people; highly recommended.

The place is gorgeous, the service was okay but slow. However, the food was awful and cold. This was my second visit; the first time was dinner in early June 2024, were the food was better than today. I really do not recommend the brunch.

I was glad to see this space finally put to use and it is beautiful. Food was very good. But it was not a great experience. We sat in a side room with tables packed together, and servers buzzzing around us trying to squeeze between the tables. It was extremely loud. The noise and cramped, chaotic environment made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. The table next to us gave us a similar assessment, and the couple that sat at the same table after them got right up and left a minute later looking uncomfortable. The food came out quickly and we felt like we were being pushed through the evening, althought we were very ready to leave by then. Service was good, but the servers seemed rushed and had to struggle to navigate the cramped space. The main room was not as packed or loud, so I'd recommend sitting there. The easy fix would be to have fewer tables and create some room between tables in the side room, and try to encourage people to want to stay and enjoy themselves, rather than rush the dinner in an effort to refill the tables.

The restaurant’s ambiance and setting was spectacular. The steak frites was just ok. It was underwhelming. The Salmon was excellent and the fig tart was divine. Overall, it was a solid experience but nothing extraordinary.

When you first walk in, you know you are about to have an incredible experience. The place is beautiful with high ceilings and beautiful decor. Service by Justin and the Assistant General Manager was the best, they were so attentive and provided many recommendations for food and drinks. Each dish that came out was incredible! My favorite were the mussels. The sauce was amazing and very flavorful. I ordered the chocolate tart for dessert which was very rich and sweet. If you like sweets, definitely order. I ordered the Mayan punch as well which was the perfect balance of strong, sweet with a nice kick to it. This is a cute spot for a date or just to have a nice night out with friends. I will definitely be back to taste more of the menu!

My friends and I dined here for the first time tonight, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant's stunning ambiance set the tone for the evening. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server, Justin, was attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes while still giving us space to enjoy our time together. Even the manager or GM, who checked in on us a few times, made sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying both the food and our evening. We shared a variety of dishes—Caesar salad, mussels, carpaccio, beef bourguignon, filet mignon, and more mussels. For dessert, we indulged in profiteroles, cheesecake, and a tart. Every single dish was fantastic. The broth from the mussels and beef bourguignon was so good, I could have sipped it on its own! With its inviting atmosphere, this place is perfect for a date night or celebrating a special occasion. I can't wait to come back. 12/10—absolutely no notes!

Finally came here and absolutely loved my experience! We came for a girls night and got dressed up and this place did not disappoint - from the music, to the food, to the service, and to the ambiance, it was lovely. I think the entire concept of it being in an old bank gives this a very unique vibe. We shared several dishes amongst us girlies and I’m struggling to pick my favorites! My very favorites were the bread and butter (I am a sucker for bread), the mussels and fries (perfection - must dip the bread in the broth), the caesar salad, the steak au poivre, la vie en rose, and the profiteroles. The service was amazing! Our server, Justin, was super helpful in helping me make selections because I am not picky and was trying to decide amongst multiple dishes. Additionally, two other men came by to check on our table (guessing the AGM and GM) and the individual with the long beard also provided recommendations of his favorite items and additional descriptions! My brother worked in the restaurant business for 15 years and always tells me what a great experience should resemble and this place surpassed all the marks. So very pleasantly surprised with my experience here, it really felt like I was in France and gave me some more wanderlust! Noise level is pretty big to me and this place’s music was not only fitting, but also not incredibly loud :) which I am grateful for. Great spot for a girls night, date night, even a more corporate meeting, larger group dinner, and more. I will be back!
