Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

The atmosphere was stunning, and the steak was simply scrumptious, making it a night to remember. I was blown away by the perfectly cooked steak and the exquisite flavors, making it an unforgettable culinary experience.

I wish I did more research prior to booking. Restaurant is beautiful! However, far from an intimate setting. From my experience we were initially put at a table in what I like to call server intersection, so multiple people would be hovering over our table while we try to eat. They did try to accommodate us again via moving us to the corner near the bus boy kitchen entrance haha. We ended up almost leaving then the hostess got us another table in the corner of the private section but unfortunately you really don’t get to enjoy the ambience of the beautiful restaurant. Also, note you will be seated very close to other tables. Now for service my girl ordered a red wine, but this is the first restaurant that does not do a taste pour. It was just sloshed into the glass. I go to an abundance of 4-5 star restaurants but this one failed to accommodate my baseline expectations of what I should be provided within this type of establishment. Now as for food, we order the duck and the oxtail. Lord; lol, the oxtail had no meat on the bone and the vegetables were not fully cooked through. Unless it was just garnish for the plate, the giant carrot was raw. Now, maybe I should’ve ordered a steak dish, but haven’t had oxtail in a while, I guess I should’ve waited longer. Now the waitress who was pleasant did remove it from my tab, although I did not ask, she offered and we accepted that. It was very hilarious with me scrapping the oxtail for meat, glad it wasn’t our first date. We really looked forward to coming here, but sadly it was a let down. Again all staff was nice and friendly.

It was my first time at La Grande Boucherie, and it will definitely not be my last!!! You could have a great experience by just enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant. A gorgeous Art Deco vibe with jaw dropping details in the architecture..it was just sublime!!! Most importantly, the food and drinks were almost unlike any French cuisine I’ve had before. So thankful to the staff for helping me navigate the many options on the menu. The steaks..to die for. The French onion soup and escargot..a must get!!!! Also definitely recommend the lemon drop and espresso martini!!! I cannot wait to come back. This is the most ideal choice if you’re looking for a very special dining experience.

We had an amazing experience. For the quality of the food, it was priced appropriately. The staff was outstanding, Justin was out waiter. The overall ambience felt luxurious. We had an issue with our order and they went above and beyond in correcting it. Mr. Mufti was a pleasure to work with and made excellent menu suggestions. We would come back to visit in a heartbeat. Until next time La Grande Boucherie!

As soon as you step into the restaurant you’ll be stunned by the gorgeous and massive staircase. Such a cute moment for a photo session! From, the awesome staff, to the delectable food and yummy drinks , you won’t be disappointed. I had a fabulous girls night and can’t wait to return soon!

This place is gorgeous! Came here with a group of girl friends and it did not disappoint. We got a few dishes to share family style and everything was great. The vibe, the food, the staff all made this an amazing experience! I could definitely see this as a great place for events as well. Will definitely be back!

Restaurant is stunningly beautiful. Food was amazing and our server was great. We got seated in the bar and it was so loud. That would’ve been the only thing that wasn’t great. If we would’ve known we would’ve requested a different area but besides that, would definitely return.

We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Our server Adrian was absolutely amazing! She was Very professional and attentive. Food was outstanding, and everything was plated on gorgeous China. We started with the beats and foie gras cream, Escargot, a cows milk cheese paired perfectly with a raspberry jam. Main course- was the Bronzino that was cooked perfectly the presentation was gorgeous. my wife had the Croque Madame and to finish our fabulous lunch, we had the profiteroles drizzled with chocolate sauce. Every manager in the building came by to say hello and make sure everything was perfect. Over the top was Chef coming out to say hello to us💜 thank you for making our experience memorable and exquisite
