Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

              My experience was excellent. The bar seating by the live jazz music was so nice. The oysters, salmon crudo, tuna Niçoise salad with ahi tuna, scallops and salmon were delicious. Managers are very attentive and helpful as well. 💯recommend to go during their live jazz Wednesday and Friday!

              The staff at this place are phenomenal. Initially we were seated close to the music and requested to be moved, they were able to accommodate our request even though it was a busy Friday night. They really go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. They are so attentive to every detail. The food was delicious and the ambience is exceptional. Highly recommend.

              I was surprised by how mediocre the food was. I ordered the steak frites. The steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare, got medium well at best) and the fries were so-so (may have come from the freezer). For $37, I expect much better. My wife got the duck cassoulet and she said it was decent, but not great. The French onion soup was okay—good cheese, but average broth at best. Frankly, the quality of the food was too low for this level of restaurant. The service was also iffy. After taking our order, the waiter took too long between check-ins. Also, at one point, he poured the wrong wine into a glass with different wine in it and tried to play it off as it being okay (“it’s all red wine, right”?—no). I think he was joking, which is fine, but then he never came back to fix it and we had to wait for a long time (20-30 minutes) before we could find him again to get a new glass. He was friendly though, so maybe this was a case of them being too busy or understaffed. The sommelier at least knew what he was doing and had good recommendations. The music in the restaurant was also too loud to the point of making conversation difficult. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. I can understand the staff being busy and cut the place some slack, but the food should be good, and it just wasn’t. The sister restaurant in NYC was much better, so we were very surprised this was so mediocre. We won’t return.

              This was an enjoyable experience. Grand enterance with an original chandelier from when it was National Bank of Washington. The high ceilings and design are breathtaking. We couldn't stop looking up. The food was amazing and full of flavor. Employees are welcoming, professional, and attentive. Management is on top of their game. This team has perfectly executed their duties. Bread was hot and served with butter and malden salt, which was a nice touch. Sommlier stopped by and made excellent suggestions, which we took advantage of. Also, wine bottles were half off 😍, so we ordered a more expensive bottle and spoiled ourselves. Highly recommended by a friend, and we were glad we came.

              What an exquisite experience! Magnificent space and the group have done an amazing job with this location. The ceiling is mesmorizing. The staff are hospitable, and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend it for others! Will most likely be interested in an event hosted here mid-July.

              Beautiful restaurant, great service, and good food. The only thing i would like to recommend to cut down on the noise is softer, or better, music choices. A beautiful restaurant should have beautiful soft music. Tonight, it was very loud. Soft jazz would have been nice.

              The ambiance was amazing, staff were top notch and hospitable, and the food was fantastic. The French onion soup, steak frites, and profiteroles were delicious!

              I had a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, and everything was prepared with care. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel comfortable throughout the meal. The ambience was perfect we had an enjoyable dining experience all around.

              This was a great first experience at La Boucherie. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Walking in, the place is gorgeous, the service is top notch and the food was delicious. Our server Mouhssine was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for food and wine.

              Came here for a late lunch and as always, nothing short of amazing. I ordered the mussels to start. Also the French onion soup is always a must and lastly, the Braised Oxtail. The meat just melts off the bone. Highly recommend. The vibe, music and ambiance it always a 10/10
