Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

Best French restaurant in town, I have had the best steak ever. Wonderful staff, specially the GM is very friendly and he makes sure that everyone is having a good time. Recommended big time.

Gourmet meals at its finest! Adroit service and wait staff with a delextable dining atmosphere. Well presented items, with everything complimenting all taste buds. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It’s very rare having the manager artfully cater to your table with such craft and finesse (middle-eastern gentleman with beard). What a SUPERB look being all hands on. This is how you turn customers into clients. KUDOS!

Gorgeous place! We were greeted with such genuine and warm smiles upon checking in. Walked to table only to have the manager meet us there, menus in hand, passing them around as we sat down with such enthusiasm and hospitable nature. Started off with some apps; 1) Wagyu Carpaccio, which was absolutely delish and cannot be skipped followed by 2) Fried Oyster Mushrooms, which was a little on the heavier side, but certainly a must from now on, only to be followed by a salad of some sort. Filet Au Poivre recommended by Michael, was perfectly crusted, laid out top of what I think may be the best mashed potatoes we’ve ever tried, so savory and extremely well executed. Sole being deboned table side is a sight for sore eyes and quite pleasurable. Edible garnishes of capers and shallots was something new and cannot have any fish dish any other way now.

This was such a treat for my birthday. Mufti and James spoiled our table. James /bartender surprised me with a lemon cello birthday cake “drink” on a plate with a candle glued to it ☺️ bc he knew I’d dint do desserts. Escargot and seafood tower felt like royalty and that dang baguette bread and butter was like a food group with that escargot 🐌. Espresso martinis had this decadent froth to it and ice ice cold in a coupe. Must try! This place is better than most others.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Grande Boucherie in Washington DC, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the manager, Mr. Mufti, and his exceptional staff. Their attentiveness and dedication to providing top-notch service truly set the tone for the evening. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the steak. Cooked to a perfect medium, it was the best I've had, even compared to other high-end steakhouses. The flavor, tenderness, and precise cooking were simply unparalleled. Whether you're looking to impress a guest or simply enjoy a fantastic meal, La Grande Boucherie is the place to go. I will definitely be returning to repeat this extraordinary dining experience.

What an immaculate and beautiful spot from entrance all the way to their unisex restrooms. Ronald was the server taking care of our group, and he definitely was the man. Recommended a great bottle of wine in which we indulged, complimenting every flavor of our dishes. Superb team, and very well done!

We had an excellent experience. The food and ambience were top quality and the servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Ronald waited on our table and he provided us with a superb dining experience. I will definitely bring a date on a future occasion.

We went to lunch today. This was our first visit so perhaps they had an 'off' day. They were clearly understaffed. For the prices and expected quality of this restaurant, we were disapointed. We could not get attention from the wait staff 3-4 times when we needed it. The food was good, not great. We will try another meal to give them another try.
