Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

                      Our waiter was fantastic. Very upbeat and checked in on us frequently. I was a bit disappointed with the salmon and should have stuck with the burger. Beautiful atmosphere.

                      Food/drinks/atmosphere were really great!! Our server, Emily Y, made sure our drinks were full the entire night and was so sweet. The duck was not my favorite, but the Bavette Diane was fireeee. Definitely check it out!

                      There was a full wad of paper in my French onion soup. After telling the staff, we were told that it was paper used to keep the onions warm? We then proceeded to wait a full hour for our next course. Overall, the experience and service was mediocre and disappointing for valentines.

                      Went for Valentine’s Day. The food was exceptional but it took 30 min to get our apps, then another 30 to get our entrees. Food was amazing but for $125, felt over priced for the 3 courses. Overall enjoyed the experience and the beautiful restaurant.

                      Great place. Pre fixed menu for Valentine’s Day but the food quality was still there. They had a sommelier that was amazing and paired wine with our meal. The actual waitress wasn’t the best but you can’t have it all.

                      The scallops tasted like they have been sitting out. The steak tartare was decent. Dessert was good.

                      Restaurant was nice, service was great. We were there for Valentines, they had a pre-fix menu. It was $175 per person, food was being massed produced, order everything up front, felt rushed, we were there probably a total of 45 minutes. Definitely not worth the price tag, I wish we would have went somewhere else.
