Housed in Chicago’s Belle Époque building, the unique Art Nouveau-inspired space honors the iconic building’s legacy while providing guests with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and menu. La Grande Boucherie blends the ambiance of an indulgent steakhouse with a refined Parisian brasserie charm, and fuses traditional French cuisine with Chicago’s River North culinary heritage. The two-story restaurant boasts custom curved stained-glass windows overlooking the bustling streets of Chicago. The interior features custom mosaic marble floors, authentic fixtures, and a racetrack bar sourced from France. Guests can lean into the view and take in all that Chicago has to offer.

I was able to eat comfortably in a luxurious but not too heavy atmosphere. All of the food was excellent and I received friendly service from the moment I walked in until I stood up from the table.

La Grande was one of my staple restaurants when I lived/worked in NYC so I didn't think twice when I booked the Chicago location for a business lunch; I wish I did. The service was very under par for what I would consider the restaurant standard. Two/three of us order the lunch pre fix. The starters came out no problem. We then waited for over 30-40 minutes for our mains to be served. We were told the kitchen was slow because "they were photographing the food". Even then, we had to have our main courses boxed to-go because our client had a meeting to rush back to. Furthermore, we had ordered a "table fry" - when the order wasn't boxed in our to-go bag, I had to double the receipt. I mentioned it to our waiter and his response was "I never put the order in so it shouldn't be on the receipt." I understand that the Chicago location is new & it does take some time to work out the kinks of service, etc.; But again, this isn't on par with the brand standard in other locations.

We chose to eat outdoors because the noise level was just deafening inside. Hence, we had to chase down our food and our check because we were just out of sight, out of mind.

Beautiful interior but very loud when the restaurant was filled with people. Menu uninteresting, salads overdressed and steaks tough. Lots of food bloggers and the constant cameras flashing made it seem like a Hollywood opening.

When we walked in to La Grande Boucherie we were surprised at how beautiful the space is. It could be in Paris. The service from Cami, our server, was wonderful and she made great suggestions. The food was yummy too, and we even saved room for dessert. The profiteroles were the best! We will be back soon.

I really had a very pleasant time next to my wife. The service was the best very friendly from the moment we arrived the place seems too nice to be with friends or in this case my wife the food is very tasty and the desserts are delicious 100% recommended

We had a wonderful dining experience while celebrating my husband’s birthday. Atmosphere i phenomenal for any type of celebration. Love that our server Ezra helped us ordered drinks tailored to our preferences! Ribeye steak and seabass bouillabaisse were our favorite entrees. We simply could not get enough! We look forward to coming here in the near future to sample the rest of the menu!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at La Grande Boucherie! The food was delicious, and the service was exquisite. The filet was perfectly prepared, and the creme brulee and soupe a l'oignon were classic. We also loved the bouillabaisse, rich with saffron and tender seafood. Even the bread and butter was top-notch, of the quality I expect when visiting Paris. The scene is lively and charming, a great date-night or special occasion restaurant. All in all, we had a lovely experience and look forward to returning.
