Housed in Chicago’s Belle Époque building, the unique Art Nouveau-inspired space honors the iconic building’s legacy while providing guests with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and menu. La Grande Boucherie blends the ambiance of an indulgent steakhouse with a refined Parisian brasserie charm, and fuses traditional French cuisine with Chicago’s River North culinary heritage. The two-story restaurant boasts custom curved stained-glass windows overlooking the bustling streets of Chicago. The interior features custom mosaic marble floors, authentic fixtures, and a racetrack bar sourced from France. Guests can lean into the view and take in all that Chicago has to offer.

The atmosphere is gorgeous, opulent art nouveau-style. The service is impeccable (ask for Matthew!). The Heure Magique cocktail is a real delight. And the steak tartare is hands-down the best in the city. We're from Europe, we know good French food, and this is it! Magnifique!

We had a fantastic meal here on a Thursday evening. The drinks were mixed perfectly (La Vie En Rose, Green Flag, and a classic Espresso Martini), and the food was absolutely delicious (Oysters, Pork Diane, and the Eggplant Gâteau). The food was traditional French cuisine, but did not feel like it was exclusionary to non-French speakers or those who do not often eat French cuisine. Philippe, our server, was wonderful and had impeccable timing throughout the meal. The atmosphere was sophisticated and timeless, yet still cozy and romantic. There was a jazz quartet playing a lovely set which added to the energy of the space. It felt like the perfect spot for a nice dinner, from a meal with colleagues or clients to date night. I will absolutely be returning!

Had the BEST experience at this restaurant. Beautiful decor and live music, fantastic service from the hostess and then from our delightful server Kami. Perfect menu, excellent cheese selection and expresso martinis. At the end of the night our server let us know her manager said she could pick a table to comp and she picked us because we were having so much fun. It was such a nice gesture - and made the experience unforgettable. I’ve been to LGB in New York and DC and have always had exceptional service - but Chicago wins.

I'm blown away.. our waiter Mike was incredible, the food was so good. I have celiacs and they were very kind about informing me of allergens. Everyone was so kind, there was live music. One of the best nights we've had in the city in a long time. The filet and pork chop were cooked so perfectly. I cannot wait to come back with everyone I know.

The food was meh. The french onion soup too much cheese. The chicken paillard with grilled chicken was flavorless. The service horrible. Not busy, yet slow to take order, to get food. I would have ordered a drink, but thought it would take too long and be Frustrating. Place for tourist. No repeat traffic.

First time having lunch here and it didn’t disappoint. It was great to be able to sit outside on the patio, lunch offerings were great and the service was top notch. Will be back!
