    We have visited La Gare a number of times, and every visit is always very good. The food is amazing. We love going there so glad we live close by, staff always friendly and accommodating in every way! ❤️

    My partner loved the beef Bourguignon and I enjoyed the salmon, although I sent my first portion back to be cooked a little longer as it was lukewarm and red in the center. The vegetables were excellent and the creme brulee was good.

    La Gare was highly rated by our hotel, so we had good expectations. We made reservations a week in advance for 5:00 and asked if the meal we wanted would be available on a Sunday night. The answer was sure. When we arrived, we were seated in a side room that was diner-like & musty. We asked to be seated in the main dining room, which was half full, but the answer was there was no room. The server was nice but pushed us to order right away. We had to ask for bread & he forgot to tell us that the meal we wanted wasn't available. The meal we ended up ordering was good but not great. Overall, it was a poor experience & we won't be returning.

    Wonderful food and wine list. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive. Very romantic place for dinner!

    It was a restaurant week meal that failed to show the usual excellence of this restaurant. The salad was sparse and my boeuf bourguignon lacked the usual excellence I find at La Garre. The portion, although adequate, was sparse and presentation was minimal. My date's salmon was better, but still below the quality I expect from the usual experience here. In my opinion the restaurants that served a dish from their regular menu, even in smaller portions, rated higher during restaurant week than those who did a "special".

    Good experience over Restaurant Week... A little crazy, but they handled the crowds really well. Food was good. But just good. (Not very good). Bread was excellent. Wine selection was mediocre. A few lower-end local wines, unknown French wines and their own label. Service was attentive.

    Even though they had a full house the night we went, the service and the food were both amazing. The chef/owner Roger came over to our table and welcomed us with his wonderful sense of humor, and that made our night even more special. We will be back. I highly recommend this restaurant.
