La Fuga, (Italian for "the escape,") is nestled in the heart of the Kimpton Shorebreak, named in homage to the location’s historic beginnings. The newly renovated Kimpton Shorebreak occupies a unique space in Fort Lauderdale, originally opened as The Escape Hotel in 1949.

La Fuga pays tribute to it's origin story in name and also in atmosphere. Featuring midcentury design, and a laid-back vibe, the indoor-outdoor dining room includes views of the hotel's scenic courtyard and provides access to a rooftop pool overlooking Fort Lauderdale’s intercoastal.

Food was decent, service provided by Jonathan and Maric was great. Deco is a bit too dark for a beachy setting. The Escape roof top lounge has good view overlooking intercoastal, recommend check it out after or before dinner.

*Wonderful Italian Gem* Chef Mayer ... Wow! Loved the food, ambiance and service! The freshest local ingredients presented beautifully with quality dinner- and flat-ware helped make our evening very special. We liked the fact that this beautiful space was off the beaten track (A1A) and really enjoyed their homemade limoncello.

Discovered La Fuga online form all the reviews and I am glad that I did! Nice ambiance and romantic setting , perfect for date night . Crafty cocktail list. Lobster Ravolini is a must try! All pasta made in house.

It was the best in everyway. The food was the best med style food I ever had in Fort Lauderdale The service and management we so good at what they do. A gem for you to find and enjoy.

Extremely loud, mediocre food, and overpriced for the quality and portions. I fell for all the positive reviews, which was a mistake. Horrible experience, will never eat there again.

Sitting out by the pool was wonderful - nice breeze. Light back ground music - was able to hold convo without screaming. Added it to our list of regulars.

Very good service, very friendly waiter, food was very good, we had a calamari and mussels appetizer that was delicious, dear bread and olive oil, balsamic, olive tapenade was delicious, and we shared a veal chop. Drinks are very expensive, but well-made and good pours. Out waiter, Jonathan was excellent It’s not fancy, not much ambiance but it’s a nice place I would come back again but only get one drink

Our table server James was outstanding. Sorry to say that food was not good. My fish was overcook, and my wife linguini looked like microwave cooked. Such a nice place but food quality is questionable. Deserts were great though. abundant and tasty.
