Experience modern, coastal Italian cuisine at Fort Lauderdale's newest hot spot, La Fuga. Chef Michael Mayer infuses local South Florida flavors with classic Italian staples to create a fusion of crave-worthy, contemporary dishes.

La Fuga, (Italian for "the escape,") is nestled in the heart of the Kimpton Shorebreak, named in homage to the location’s historic beginnings. The newly renovated Kimpton Shorebreak occupies a unique space in Fort Lauderdale, originally opened as The Escape Hotel in 1949.

La Fuga pays tribute to it's origin story in name and also in atmosphere. Featuring midcentury design, and a laid-back vibe, the indoor-outdoor dining room includes views of the hotel's scenic courtyard and provides access to a rooftop pool overlooking Fort Lauderdale’s intercoastal.

Flavorful food, nice selection of drinks, nice ambiance and great location close to the beach. Service was very good as well.

We went her because it was rated #1 Italian restaurant on TripAdvisor. We were misled is all, it's an ok restaurant with limited Italian options. Our service was amazing. Food and ambiance were just ok.

Great service! All staff was fast, courteous and diligent. We had a fantastic meal, great wine, and the desert was out of this world! We will definitely be back.

Our waiter was super nice and attentive. The staff was amazing and constantly clearing the table and cleaning it off for us. They were continuously checking in on us and the food was amazing!

One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve ever been to. Lovely singer performed the night we were there who added to the ambience and overall memorable dining experience. Had the lasagna per due (for two) and wow was it good! Filled by the best tiramisu we have ever had! Had to share since it was such a large portion but really good and all house made. This is a gem of a restaurant and only wish we lived closer!

We loved La Fuga! The restaurant itself is lovely, the noise level was perfect even with a live musician, who was amazing! And the food was delicious.

This was our second time here while visiting tyevsrra again. The food is really amazing. Our server Amy terrific- very engaging and attentive. Alas, she’s lost her home 2 x in the last 2 years.(we’re here for Milton evacuation ). Not sure if she can take any more. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful space tucked in Shorebreak hotel. Amy was a helpful and patient server, and server assistant did a great job clearing and resetting for subsequent courses. Desserts are huge, scallop app was delicious, all sauces, ragus, etc were FABULOUS, solid eine list. Pasta seemed a little dry. Would definitely return and sit out on the patio facing the pool. Super fun vibes.
